Default Extreme track events (literally!) @ streets of willow

It was a super fun day.. I spent the morning session with my student in a E92 M3. I was not sure to go out with my beat up RA1s if it rained, so delayed the tire swap. Then finally I went out with Red group (session 4) around 230PM, was going to take it easy showing my student my lines. But I found myself in a battle before I had time to warm up my tires lol ended up running a 1:26.3XX which was a little better than my personal best time last time I was there..

check it out !

Looks like fun, but I don't like driving 10/10ths with students in the car. Especially without a cage. Sketchy

Cool, perhaps one day whenever I'm available for one of these events you could teach me a thing or two.

so what are you teaching this student during this session? I think it might be lost on them. you are really pushing your car here which is fun, but I do not hear much in the way of instruction or pointing out what/why you are doing certain things on the track. it was great to see the vette just rocket away from you btw.

Awesome video. Gotta love Willow Springs, the fastest track in the west.

Good point. I just couldn't help it after seeing that m3 on my left around the bowl, he almost clipped me there, look at my mirror when I was behind the z06. I let off as we were coming onto the black EVO X and I didn't stay with him around the bowl. So was not really a %100 drive. Excuses are for A**holes but this is one of those situations that I just went with the flow..

About the instructor deal, please know that I'm not trying to brag about it or whatsoever. My buddy Mark (10 year instructor) was called for the event and he invited me along with him. This was my 1st time instructing. We went out in a newer M3 and I simply told him where to be on the track, how to get back on the throttle, late entries, sactifices for combinations, patience along with simple things like seat position, how to hold the steering wheel, tire pressure checks/targets, oil level checking.

He started with a 1:45, down to 1:41 and ran a 1:37 last session. He was leaving and I decided to go out myself and he asked if he could get a ride. I was telling him to go wide out at the bowl and get back on the throttle a bit earlier around the corners (he was too shy the whole day) when he was driving his car so he should have a better idea now..

regards,

Come'on Pat, give him a break. Streets of Willow is at Willow Springs anyways. Streets is not the fast crazy track, but they are a mile apart
