I want to install a 3 inch muffler kit however my current one is welded on

how do i go about installing a bolt on mufller kit and how much will it cost me?

Lets see here you have a 2.5i so you may want to consider something smaller say 2.25 or 2.5 inch. Now when you say welded in are you referring to the actual muffler on the detachable axleback section or are you saying you have a continuously welded pipe section from the stock manifold rearward??

If you have a "muffler kit" do you mean you bought something that looks like this

???

If you do have something above you do not need to cut anything simply unbolt your stock system and the mid car flange.

If you have a single muffler you want to install simple cut off the stock muffler and weld in the new one

dont have anything yet but I dont want to mess up the o2 sensors therfore i just wanted to install the muffler.
whats on my car now is all stock and yess the WHOLE exhaust appears to be welded on, I thought subaru was all bolt on however in this case it is welded?

take pics. Your looking for an axleback so dont buy just a muffler
