Hey Guys! I'm new to the forums here, and I need some help. I'm looking to swap trunks with a 2011 STI Sedan in white, I have a 2011 WRX Sedan. Does anybody know where I might find someone willing to trade? Or If are there any companies out there making replicas?

Check the threads local to your area - you might find a dedicated thread there. For example, in the Midwest Owners Club section, there's a sticky thread to post trunk swaps with other members.

Just installed a Whiteline 24mm front sway bar last night ...the difference is amazing. Cornering feels so much flatter and the car feels much more controlled in transitions. I can't wait to really push it at the autocross next weekend and see the full effect. The car was surprisingly sloppy stock, and i think this is just what it needed to be a little more competitive.

Retails for around 215 online. I got it for a steal, found one for $145 on craigslist. its actually for the 08+ STi, but it fits perfectly on the 2011 wrx.

I just wanted to clarify my distaste for the stock WRX wheels that I expressed in the "Beyond" thread.

I like the wheels a lot (best stock WRX wheels ever, IMO), but I do take issue with the size for the MY2011+ WRX. I can totally understand all the reasons why, but what it really comes down to is that they don't fill out the wheel well as evenly and they're narrow compared to STI wheels.

That's all I'm trying to say! I do appreciate Subaru going wider for 2011, but I would prefer some consistency in the line-up. I would pay more for getting wheels similar to an STI, seeing as how the WRX is the SAME body.

As far as the tires are concerned, I'm cool with them. They break loose when I expect them to, so I'm satisfied.

I don't really have room to talk now that I'm on STI wheels with adapter spacers. My cornering ability has improved dramatically, but now I get sucked into the ruts a lot more easily than when I just had the stock set-up.

I also like the way they look. If they were slightly bigger (wouldn't even have to be wider), I probably wouldn't bother looking into something aftermarket down the road. I'd be able to powdercoat them whatever color necessary and call it a day.

But hey, at least they're not the old 16's!

i was going to just say that you pay more the sti for a reason but then I looked up he price of the wheels and the WRX 17x8 15 spoke stockies list for $359 and so do the 14 spoke 18" sti stocks...even still you are paying for the sti's beefier hubs so the wrx can't come with sti wheels unless they convert it to 5x114.3. the bbs's are 859 or something

Sorry if this was answered already but I skipped through to this last page.

If I'm in the market for an exhaust for my '11 wrx hatch, what should i search for? All the 08-11 exhausts have a single tip exhaust and i'm not sure if the '11 sti exhausts would fit the '11 wrx.

Also, are all 11' wrx's pre-wired for fog-lights?

So I just recently bout my 09 wrx with 40,000 miles on it engine blew up, dealer gave me a new short block and we are good to go. I just bought a injen sp cold air intake, invidia N1 race CBE, catless invidia downpipe, and the catless uppipe,
and gauge pod and gauges. I have seen alot of people saying the N1 is to loud. Im excited to see what I created after the tune. :-) this is my first Subie, and first car with this potential.

Anything helps, thanks guys.

How did your engine blow up? Were you running an aftermarket tune on it? Any warranty issues? I'm scared to tune my car and have it blow up and dealer deny my claim

Manufacturers defect I had it like 3 weeks it was bone stock. If you wanna mod it go with SPT. Its still under warranty, its a little more expensive but you get that piece of mind :-)

This very reason was part of my thought process when dealing with the price of my Sti (37,500).
those bbswheels are perfectly fine in both size, appearance, and weight. Im the type to replace wheels, the civic si 8th gen I traded on my sti had aftermarket enkei wheels.
Chances are I would have wanted the sti wheels or something of eual quality, wheels and tires would just start to close that gap wrx to sti. There were many other factors as well.

Btw, best wrx wheels Have got to be gold right?

One thing I didnt mention above is how much I enjoy having the si-drive, that system is awesome for keeping the ride tame for days like today... Raing for a ride to work on saturday, meanwhile S# is waiting for my ride home. Of course it doesnthurt to be able to change the diff and take full advantage of the computers.

Btw I never got a good answer on this but what does the 18" bbs on the 2011 Sti weigh?
