Back to the fuel line mod. I'm not going to do it because I have a WRX, but I was looking at the pictures and it confused me lol. You just replace that line with a really long, coiled up one?

basically, there is a bunch of technobabble explaining why it works, but I glazed over

I really don't get this bumpy idle issue..lol yesterday it was doing it, today it was totally smooth...soon I think some rods will shoot out through my fenders, becuz boxer

maybe it doesn't like my 4500 mile royal purple..lol

Haha well I just changed my oil and I still get the bumpy idle. Doesn't do it all the time, and only does it on cold starts when it does. It doesn't bother me too much. But my squeaky clutch on the other hand does bother me.

Anyone with the clutch squeak check this out if you haven't already: http://www.wrxforums.com/forums/84-d...ng-defect.html. I need to check my welds again. I checked them a few months ago and they were fine, but if there's gonna be a lawsuit I need to make sure.

yeah oil should not effect idle..it could effect valve train noise

the idle thing doesn't bother me assuming it isn't a sign of a serious problem, if it is then it does bother me lol

Yeah that's how it is for me. If it affects performance or reliability then it's a problem. Except for this stupid clutch stuff. I hate the way it feels. It's not so much the noise that bothers me. I just checked my welds and they're all fine. It sounds like the squeak is coming from the transmission area. Idk if it's the slave or the fork. I'm thinking it's where the fork pulls the throw out bearing. I know there was a problem with surface rust on the throw out bearing in the past on these cars but i have an aftermarket clutch kit.

Lol, why would you want the idle to be almost 25% higher than it should be?

The idle is fine generally. It just decides to jump around every so often like a misfire. Its not like when you have motor mounts or cams and you raise the idle to make it smoother or less vibratory.

Does anybody know what size of hub centric rings I need to run on my work xd9 18x9 +38 in my 2012 wrx?

I had centric rings on them but when I removed the wheels to get them powder coated they were all falling apart. Damn plastic.. And I looked through my paperwork from when I got the wheels and couldn't find the size?
I believe it might be 72.6/56.1 but I'm not sure.

56.1 is the hub bore for our cars, so whatever your wheels are -> 56.1

That's quite a big difference for stage 1, you're putting more power down at the wheels than you were at the crank stock. Looks good

Ahhh didn't notice. Still not bad, I've heard that the sti and wrx dyno very closely, never really tried to find absolute proof though. If true, I wonder if the wrx is underrated or if the sti is overrated, or maybe a combination of both?

So my weird idle issue finally decided to start throwing misfire codes...but it showed misfires for all 4 cylinders...weird. I read in another thread it could be a valve clearance issue.

Not a Subaru specific solution, but a bad cam position sender could cause that
