I'm sure it's just adhesive, but I think they look better with it. It matches the bottom of the bumper, not to mention you're probably going to scratch your bumper at some point without it.

Check here. Or your manual.

If you are scared to use jacks than get a set of ramps at walmart, auto zone etc.. Our cars will clear it with ease. Plus they come in handy when you need to do sways/endlinks.

Don't know if this is a Subaru thing or what but does anyone else notice a small click/squeak when pushing In And letting out the clutch pedal? I've owned hondas and VWs before this and none of them ever made this sound

I do not, my left foot rest clicks when I put my weight on out though. Speaking of noises, when I'm cruising around 40mph I hear a slight chirping sound that I can't pinpoint, wether I'm in gear or not.

Also speaking of noises, does anyone else have an issue of a really loud clutch chatter (maybe??) when letting off the gas going somewhat slowly in 1st or 2nd gear?

So I'm about to purchase a boost gauge for my 11wrx sedan. I personally hate how they have the spt gauge set up, so I was wondering if i buy the gauge pod pack combo from Perrin performance that goes above the steering wheel if that what some how mess with my warranty?. I was thinking maybe I can order it then have them install it?

Report your rattles in your '08+

This is a good read that should help identify those annoying little creeks, rattles, etc. Lots of good info.

Clicking noise at low speeds might be the steering pump.

Clutch chatter you are hearing is gear rollover. Its normal, our trannies are loud.

Subarus are loud cars, get use to all the weird noises.

Just because you install mod A and part C stops working/breaks whatever, that does not mean mod A caused part C to fail. Your warranty is still intact.

However, if mod A breaks part B then yes you will void said warranty. Remember, your dealership cannot deny your warranty, that is for SoA to decide. They will send out a case manager to determine if whatever mod you did to your car caused whatever thing/part in your car to fail/break/stop working.

If you do install your gauge and it was wired incorrectly and somehow shorted out your stereo than you will probably have your warranty denied. However, the shop you took it to should fix their mistakes. But seriously, ive never heard of any gauge fouling up someones warranty.

I got the SMY Clustermaker pod with the SPT gauge installed at my dealer. They didn't have any issues using that. In fact, it was probably easier for them to install it this way because they didn't have to do any drilling on the dash.

Thanks for posting all of this up. This is my first Subaru and my first manual transmission vehicle - so I wasn't sure what to think, especially with how loud it tends to be.

all these problems can be fixed by simply turning the radio up

Does anyone know where I can find pics of the interior of a 2011 WRX sedan? Specifically looking for pics of the ceiling and everything up from the shoulders to make sure I've considered all parts necessary for an STI-swapped black interior. Full 360 degree view would be cool.

Off the top of my head here's what needs to be changed:

Headliner
A pillars (x2)
B pillars (x2)
C pillars (x2)
D pillars (x2)
Visors (x2)
Map light
Dome light
Handles (x4)
Seat belt caps (x4)
SRS Airbag logo caps (x4)

Rear decklid maybe? When I get a chance I'll look at my bro's and see what needs changed specifically.

My contact at the local dealership estimates that this will cost $1,000 easy taking into consideration other miscellaneous parts. They really should come like this from the factory. Yet another reason the STI is cooler. Beige interior SUCKS.

Thanks in advance!

No, YOU'RE a huge wast of money!

Yeah, that's not good enough. I'll just take pics of my interior and my bro's and compare them.

I appreciate your looking, though, homie.

Btw, I think lowering springs are a huge waste of money.

just throwing something out here

my friend just went to joanne's fabrics and made a DIY headliner...granted it was for a 1996 G20 that he really doesn't care about and not a 2011 wrx, but there might be other options than shelling out the money for an STI interior

I debated that, but in the end I decided that the final finish of the product is worth the extra money compared to time spent settling for something relatively inferior.

Plus for pillars and stuff I'm not sure how you'd repaint the beige ones. They wouldn't respond well to sanding, I would think.

EDIT:

So I've got kind of close when using the Subaru site Comparison Tool to compare the WRX and STI, but the pics are too small to be useful. Google and the NASIOC search are fairly useless as well.

Idk about that boss. We have what... A 15 gallon tank I think.... I don't think the engine will blow up mixed with a full tank of 93 but you might get knock from that one gallon. How many miles? And why this ???
