You guys probably don't need to be so paranoid, my 2011 has over 65,000 hard miles on it. Been stage 2 and racing it for the last year. Finally had the clutch replaced today, it was overdue though. About to go pick it up, can't wait to drive it.
ACT Heavy Duty and streetlight flywheel.

I've burnt the clutch pretty bad a few times too. I've never like dumped it from 5500 though

I should really trade it in before it explodes
That's not to bad if a launch Imo. The clutch definitely took the brunt of it. Haven't had any issues with the intercooler or intercooler hose. I hit 19psi sometimes and so far never overboosted or shown any signs of intercooler separation. I'm invidia Catted tbe and cobb sf with appropriate OTS tune. I will install the tmic bulletproof mod before doing the protune though, just in case. Imo the car can't handle much more power reliably, no more power mods for me. As far as a protune goes, it will mainly be for reliability and smoothness. I don't care about having more power than I have now.

Good info about the transmission holding up, we need more people like that speaking up! So much negativity (Celery) lol

Not sure what you mean. It was slipping terribly in the higher gears and the pedal started to catch when letting it out.

Same thing I'm thinking lol. I only launched mine a few times after I went stage 2. That was with the stock clutch and probably what caused some of my clutch problems (clicking, grinding, etc)

lulz, break in stuff is overblown it would seem.

This gearing thing...

Definitely significantly different. 39mph to be at 2k in 4th, where before it was 30mph.

yeah idk about break in. I tried to do that hard break in thing on my rsx and it always burned oil, then again I beat the piss out of it so it could have just been from that lol.

39mph at 2k in 4th sounds right, I was paying attention to it today, it was around 40 at 2k in 4th and 30 at 2k in third, maybe you got a cvt WRX

Nice. Lol, I haven't launched it yet, I'm too scared of breaking something I can't afford to fix at this time.

Well I am always racing, so this is important to me.

Also, I am always racing in dry, warm conditions in straight lines, and never from a dig because sanctioned racing is for pussies.

So my 2014 is normal...then wtf with my 2011? Thats a pretty large discrepancy. Maybe the tach was way off somehow...I have videos on my phone (assuming they werent wiped when it crashed) of when I was having the misfire issues, going 30 in 4th at 2k.

A 2006/07 STi duh. Or a golf diesel converted to biofuel. I think that would be a pretty awesome daily driver

I'll try to remember to check my 2011 tomorrow. Wouldn't it be crazy if the transmissions were different based off of the build date even within the same year. I found it weird that my friends 11 sedan had the coolant temp ecu recall/reflash and mine didn't.

I did an initial writeup on the reason, install and driving experience on the Air Lift setup that you can find on this page of my build thread. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...364496&page=66

Anyone know a quick and easy way to cover the holes in the trunk, if I decide to remove my spoiler?
