I just ordered some plastic dip so I can get rid of the crome in the molding under the window. I was curious how you guys went about doing this. Does the molding strip come off easily?

Finally got my car on the dyno. Catless downpipe, tsudo catback, cobb sf intake and an ots stage 2+ sf map with 93 octane. It's not to bad for an ots map. Soon I'll be getting a 3 port bcs and a torqued performance map

Did you get a baseline? What dyno did you run on?

They had a stock 2011 hatch there that made 212. It's a dyno dynamics

So basically turbo back + intake and ots map = +50whp? Damn that seems pretty good.

actually vash(another guy who was on the same dyno) made 270whp with the oem catback and torqued performance ots stage 2 tune. I think he has a couple other mods too like an uppipe and cai or something.

so really you just need the downpipe, not the full turboback

Yup we went to the same dyno day. He has a dp, 3 port bcs, turbo inlet, and intake. But I'm sure the sedan exhaust is probably a lot less restricted than the hatch

perhaps

his car sounded a little too quiet in the vid..lol

speaking of quiet stage 2 setups, anyone have any input on shorty downpipes?

D00000000d! Why have I never even heard of them? That is so cheap and absolutely perfect. I thought I had decided on the nameless DP but it's expensive and would have been awkward with my 2.5" SPT midpipe.

Maybe it would also be a good compromise if I gutted the other stock cat too...

idk i was searching around, some guy from perrin said it wouldn't flow well enough for stage 2.

I think I'm just going to get an invidia catless and hook it to my oem catback. The thing I'm wondering now is how necessary the GrimmSpeed 3in Downpipe to Stock Cat-Back Adapter is. I feel like its just a matter of using a 2.5" gasket, I know I've gotten 2.25" pipes to mate with 2.5" pipes before. The adapter is on back order at rallysportdirect so in theory I could order both and cancel the adapter if I don't need it since if I order it later on I won't get free shipping because its under $200. Decisions, decisions.

If that's what you're doing just get cobb. It tappers to 2.5" to match stock, and there doesn't seem to be any evidence that the divorced waste gate helps anything.

cobb is twice the price and I might want to get a 3" catback later on
