Excellent. FYI here is the schedule for Cedar Ridge.

Friday, July 1st through Sunday, July 3rd
Bourbon and Blues Festival
Open Hours: Friday 11-9, Saturday 11-7 and Sunday 11-5

Live music, amazing BBQ and the beauty of Cedar Ridge...mark your calendar for our second annual Bourbon and Blues Festival! Scheduled tours of the distillery at 1 and 4 pm Saturday and Sunday.

Live Music
Friday 6-9
Bryce Janey
Saturday 3-6
Gary Gibson Group
Sunday 1-4
Craig Erikson

Serving Iowa Bourbon BBQ beef sandwiches (slow cooked in our brick oven) with homemade potato salad and Clearheart Gin coleslaw. $10 per plate.
Hours served: Friday 5-8:30, Saturday 11-6, Sunday 1-5
(Small plates available in addition to the entree, pizza and prime rib not available this weekend to utilize our brick oven for the BBQ beef)

So we were thinking of cruising around the lake area for awhile (I dont have a route, just know that we'd like to stop at Sugar Bottom at some point) then head over to Cedar Ridge around 3-4pm to see some live music, eat some BBQ, and sample some wine.

Ben (white EvoX-man) wants to head down to the IC jazz festival after that so anyone up for that could add that to their day.

Also, they are giving tours of the distillery at 1pm and 4pm. I think Ben is interested in taking one of those too.

My gut reaction is meet at noon somewhere. If no one has a route I have a decent one I take that goes the back way to mt Vernon, stops at sutliff bridge, continues on to solon, then to sugar bottom, then around the lake to the damn. We could head to cedar ridge from there.

As far as I know one of the roads to the damn dam is tore up from construction/gravel. By the bait and tackle place/frisbee golf area..?

Cruise went well. The weather was as close to perfect as you could hope for. I did leave my wallet at my house and didn't realize it until we got to sugar bottom. Ryan and Dustin went to the damn while I ran back to my house. Then we all met at Cedar Ridge. That was pretty cool too. Definitely something I could do more often on a casual Saturday.

Sweet! Looking forward to seeing those.

BTW, I saw your fb album called "road rash". Ouch. I have a jagged left collarbone from biting tarmac on my XB12Scg about a year and a half ago. Compression fracture. Landed hard on my left side, ended up with a complete break and two bone fragments. Not enough overlap to warrant surgery so doctor said just let it heal. Also tore an artery in my left leg that gave me a MASSIVE bruise, and my leg was swollen to about double its size up near my hip bone. Good times.

Alright guys, we need to lay down a date for the next meet. I know we decided on 2nd Saturday of each month, but that's this weekend, and its kinda short notice. I say we do lunch @ 12 at Cedar River Landing on Friday to discuss the next meet. Bobber's in NL has been thrown out, and I'm happy with that, I just want everyone to have a chance to put in their 2 cents.

thrown into the mix, I meant. Not thrown out. Sorry for the confusion.

FB event created for lunch on Friday... RSVP so we can get an idea for how many tables we have to get together.

Bobber's sounds good to me. Never been but I'd like to go. Also, this weekend would have been a bad weekend to call the local meet anyway, wouldn't it? The ICCM meet is this weekend, along with another Marshaltown autocross put on by NQS.

I'll be there. Trying to get my friend Burton (has a 370Z) to join us. The 370Z guys are lonesome and want to start hanging out with some more car people hahahaha.

Since I work downtown, and pretty sure I'll be there first, you want me just to grab tables?

I am not going to make it to lunch, I am way behind on this Mustang and now I gotta rebuild the carb on it also. Ever feel like you opened a never-ending can of worms?

Oh and on Names, The Legacy is just known as the Subie, Jillian (my 8 yr old) named her Bronco Sally, my 80 Cobra has always been known as the Hooptie. the other Stangs are just known by their year or designation, nothing cool. My old Mark VII was called the Ghost, as it was white, and fast
