We're driving up Friday and getting a hotel. We'll probably leave about 5PM and get there about 8PM. That way I can get up and find a car wash and get ready before the show. I can hardly wait!

I'll be driving down to St. Louis on Friday, 6/17 and returning on Sunday, 6/19. Normally I take 163/63/Avenue of the Saints/whatever else it is called and avoid driving on 80 at all costs, but I might detour if you guys are doing anything. Let me know...

Is anyone thinking about meeting up with some of us at the Marshalltown track this coming Saturday? We normally have 5+ Subarus running at each one, and it's a blast. If you're maybe considering it, I'll leave this here of one of the other guys in the group:

Did you buy Matt's old exhaust? The video was from before he switched to the one he has on now (I think he said Invidia?). I think the one in the video was a Megan Racing turbo back exhaust that was welded into one solid piece maybe?

Yeah, I picked it up from him last week, after the meet. Installed it friday, love the "new" sound, and feel of the car. Putting out some decent power, think my clutch is actually slipping..

Do you have a tune since it is a TBE? I thought you were trying to sell your Accessport? I might be getting confused, though; that is never out of the question.

Is this an autocross event? Who is hosting it? Did I miss this earlier? How does Diet Dr. Pepper taste so much like regular Dr. Pepper?

I do have a tune, and I did sell my AP.
I'm now using romraider to tune with.. So I can do it all myself, just helps to learn that much more about the car! The AP is too much of a plug and play device, and to make a simple change I have to find a tuner.. I like the open source community much better than the tuner community. Just my opinion though!!

I had the OpenECU stuff when I owned my Evo IX. ECUFlash was awesome because I learned so much about all the parameters used to make a car run. I really don't think people that haven't at least looked at that stuff can have an appreciation for how complex tuning a car really is.

That being said, I am now lazy since I obviously know it all (sarcasm) so I went the AP route for my STI.

Ah ok. Yeah, I'd love to learn how to tune on my own, but I don't want to blow up my car and don't really have the time anymore. I don't really understand how any of that stuff works, so it would take a ton of reading and research before I'd feel comfortable jumping into it.

The Marshalltown "autocross" is sponsored by the Mustang Club of Iowa. They invite everyone to join and have been pretty happy to see our group of Subarus at their events. I say "autocross" because there aren't any cones on the course. Here's a link to their website:

Nah, I put a SPT Catback on it at the beginning of April. I need to get my before/after pictures posted somewhere...either here or FB. The size difference surprised me. Mama like!!

Whatever happened with the idea of starting a local meet in the CR/IC area on Wednesdays or something. Driving to Des Moines in the middle of the week just isn't going to ever work for me, and I know a few others in the same boat.

My buddy with the 370z says the local guys over there are clamoring for a local meet as well. We should just declare a local CR (or IC, whatever) meet every Wednesday (or whatever) for something local to do. Thoughts?

We are talking about the possibility of a monthly meet like the second sat. of every month. Which would be this coming sat.

So! How many ppl are planning to attend sat. @ mulligans, so I or Aaron can call and set up a time slot for the outdoor patio, for a group. I would say 6-7 time frame on eating?

Sat. We can all talk together and get some more idea's going on events and places to go. Start making an itinerary and everyone is welcome, but this will remain a Subaru club event.

I stopped at mulligans after work and looks like it shouldn't be a problem. I have to call someone there tomorrow and give her the details.

I said 15 ppl just to be on the safe side. If we have more, even better lol! Any time frame should work for them. I figured maybe a 7pm eat time? It should be cooling off by that time and we can gather before hand in the parking lot.. Like around 630pm

Any input?
