Default '04 STi 3M Carbon Vinyl Wrapped!

So I have had my STi for over 4 years now and have been on a few Subaru forums but just joined NAISIOC a couple of weeks ago...I don't know why it has taken me so long but anyway...here I am! Last August I wrapped my WRB STi with 3M Di-Noc carbon fiber vinyl to give it a different look and to be unique. I did it 100% by myself and it took me about 60 hours total. In retrospect it would have been a little easier with some help but at least I can say I did it myself. I am pretty happy with the overall result. It looks flat black from a distance and then once you get closer to it you can start to see the pattern come out. It also has some pretty cool characteristics in sunlight. Here are some before and after pics along with a bunch of other after ones! Enjoy!

Wow. That does look pretty cool! Any issues with exhaust heat messing up the wrap in the back or anything like that? How does it handle rock chips/insects hitting the hood and front bumper?

mmm.. not a fan

Pictures don't really do the car justice. My main concern would be how obvious it is that its NOT carbon fiber?

I actually have coilovers on it right now but I live in Montana which dropping it low would basically make it impossible to drive around on these roads/streets. I am still thinking about rolling the fenders and dropping it a little bit more this summer though.

Agreed...the pictures don't do it justice at all. You don't know how many times I have been asked if it is real. It actually gets old telling people it is a vinyl wrap...and even then they really don't know what that is either. This vinyl actually has a texture to it so it isn't just a flat vinyl. That gives it the different reflective characteristics.

Here is a video I made a couple of weeks ago. I posted it on another thread but since this thread is mine I thought I would post it here too.
