Default Considering buying a 91 Legacy LS AWD wagon

Are these good cars? I'm looking at a 91 Legacy LS wagon with the 5 speed and full-time 4 wheel drive. The wagon has AC, cruise, power windows and locks and a power sliding sunroof. It's been sitting since October and it needs a rear hatch and some rust repair on the right rear fender. I could get it for about 250 bucks. Would it be worth it?

edit: I meant to put 91 in the thread title, not 92.

I say go for it, as long as it runs. Even if it has high mileage (>12,000 miles a year) the EJ22 motor is a strong runner, just not very powerful. I bought a 1990 legacy wagon with a decent amount of rusty panels and 240k miles on the odo just beacause it was $250.

If it runs, has an EJ22 under the hood, and is under $300.....BUY IT.

I picked up a 98 recently, and it still has that same EJ22E engine. 137HP isn't alot, but it's got even more torque, and I think it's the most reliable engine put in a Legacy for the North American market.

Also, spare parts are easy to come by: http://bbs.legacycentral.org

Buy it!

I have a 91 legacy ls wagon with 365k miles and she runs like a champ and passed smog(I couldn't believe it). I bought her for 600 bucks. Best money I've spent in 7 years.
