Started working on pulling the transmission out of the car. Going to replace the broken slush box with a 5MT.

I changed the oil on my 98 today.

I did my grille last week! So far I'm loving the look. I ordered some navy blue and gunmetal L7 badge overlays. They shipped today so I hope to get them installed soon!

Installed the front strut tower bar. I need to source a 5speed tranny. Mine is on its way out. Sometime this week I need to goto pull a part for a few things. In a few weeks I'd like to install a rear sway bar, either my outback or an sti if I can pick one up locally.

Changed my oil for the first time ever today. Gotta start working on cars somewhere, and today was that day.

Well you picked the right car. Oil drain and filter are in a great location compared to a lot of cars.

I definitely noticed that. I work at AutoZone as a commercial driver and always up whatever cars shops have in the bay and felt really good about how easy it is to access on the Legacy.

Pulled the heat shield, drive shaft, drained the transmission fluid, disconnected the transmission cooler lines, disconnected the shifter linkage.... Almost ready to pull the transmission out!

Installed WRX catback today, changed the muffler so I get a little deeper tone. Swapped the wheels from the 98 LGT that we just sold in place of the Legacy 5 Spokes. Also swapped the 2 piece headlights and HIDs out of the LGT into the wagon. In the process of tinting the rear 5 windows now, I have the 2 rearmost side windows done so far

I did the hog-zaust mod on my 06 2.5i SE. It was a bit of a PITA only because I live in NY and the bolts connecting my mufflers were completely seized and I had to cut them off with the only cutting tool I have... a dremel . New bolts and a couple washers cost about $7.

I started with 2 washers and found it too loud, but 1 washer gives my car just a little bit of rumble without being obnoxious.

Detailed the interior , conditioned the leather seats, door cards. Put on a new radiator bracket. Cleaned the engine bay.

There's a huge thread on legacygt.
It's basically a self induced exhaust leak. Unbolt the mufflers, remove the gasket, add as many washers as you want, put the bolts back in.

Washed it and then installed front and rear L7 overlays. I thought I had all the bugs off... but apparently I missed a few. I should have taken a before picture... the front of my car was completely plastered! Guess that's what I get for driving so much at night!

Last night I installed a hardwire power adapter for my TomTom and some lighting in my cup holders. I didn't get pics last night, so will try and get some once it gets dark tonight.

I also installed the overlay for my airbag emblem. The paint on the background had started to come off so the sticker looks much, much better.

^ grille looks good. I painted my L grille all black today. I still have to get black window trim. The chrome looks terrible on there.
