Nothing done directly to the car, just some preparatory work...

- Finally got around to cleaning and re-painting the low profile JDM rub strips that I sourced a year or two ago. Maybe next weekend I'll actually get around to putting them on the car!

- Chopped apart the spare grille I've got as the first step of doing this. Bought some Bondo stuff - hopefully the right type, as there were a few varieties - and during the week will try to make some more progress.

Got the car aligned over the weekend. It rides and handles great. Now I just need to pickup the rear sway bar bushings and get it installed.

Used the spray can bedliner on my rear bumper. The top part where u scratch the bumper when u load stuff. It turned out well. Its better in my opinion than buying the rubber piece.

I developed an exciting leak in my power steering rack!

So I need to replace the rack. But the crossmember is rotting. So I'll replace the crossmember. If the crossmembers coming out, I might as well go ahead and pull the engine out. And since I have a spare WRX donor car sitting around, I might as well throw the EJ205 into the Legacy.

Apologies to the N/A powertrain folks. I didn't want another turbocharged Subaru. But I just found a Legacy turbo crossmember in the local classifieds. It never ends..

I'm pretty sure my car needs an outer tie rod on the passenger side. Anyone know approx how much it would cost? Also the plan for this weekend is to finally install the speakers I have had laying around for about 4 years...

Sold my 08 LGT to buy an EVO X MR, but I forgot to remove the stage 1 tune. I'm sure they won't notice.

Got my speakers done today. Sounds at least 10X better. Also figured out the inner tie rod on the passenger side is going.

Found some legacies at a pull a part. Got an under seat sub, visors, cup holder. Pulled off headlights and various other parts for another day now that they gave me a price list when I checked out.

Started on a project this weekend that I've been planning for a while. I bought the low profile JDM door trim either from ReubenH or YamazakiSubaru. A few weeks ago I painted them black with the same Duplicolor Bumper Coating that I used on the side skirts, rear bumper lip, sideview mirrors, and rear spats.

Before:

During:

Most of the adhesive came off with the old trim piece, but it still took me forever to get that all cleaned off, which is why I only did 1 of 4 doors.

After:

I have to at least get the driver's door done this coming weekend so that each side matches! Even with only the 1 door done I'm very happy with how it looks. I think it's gonna look fantastic once I get them all done.

It really doesn't sound like much of anything - it's too small. But the fact it's sitting right under your ass means you feel it.

It cost 4 dollars so I'm not worried if it sucks Lol. I sure love pull a part yards. I'm going to do the headlight swap soon. 1 piece to 2 piece. I have all the parts I need. I am buying a spare Sec to black out the inside trim.

Thanks. The ones I have seen for sale around here are for about $75 so I think I will pass.
