Default Performance Friction Z pads - who has tried them?

I just found an old thread on IWSTI (2008: http://www.iwsti.com/forums/gd-braki...on-z-pads.html)
comparing the DS2500s, which I'm using now, to the PF carbon-metallic Z-rated pads. It seemed as though the PF pads were a bit better, for a lot less money. Has anyone else used the PF's or both to compare? I wanted to see if anyone has used them since 2008.

PS - the PF pads are only $88 for the fronts here: http://www.rotorsandpads.com/Searchmodel.aspx
which is dirt-cheap in comparison to the 215+ for Ferodos.

I used those on a 3200lbs EVO IX along with 2 piece PFC rotors, brake ducting, s/s brake lines & good fluid.

Pads started cracking after some street driving and 2 track days (buttonwillow, big willow), they dont like too much hear lol. Pulled them out, cleaned out the rotors, and switched to PFC race pads. They felt a lot better, no fade etc.. Now those are down to %45, will try some porterfields pads for the last life cycle of the rotors.

It will cost more in the long run if you dont use the race pads imo.

good luck,
