how long do you guys expect the internals to last on that setup? Are the stock pistons cast like in the sti? I'm guessing you guys plan on testing to destruction to see what a stock motor can handle. My guess is that we'll either see a cracked ring land or busted rod when it happens. impressive results though!!

This is insane! Very impressive! Looks like the FA20 may be better than the EJ25. Did I just say that?

I dont think thy are on this forum, but no one really knows. People are starting to install more FI setups now other than shops so we will likely find out soon what the weak part is. This car supposedly has 150 dyno runs above 350whp, 60+ above 500, in addition to the 1/4 runs.

So far none of the shops have broken a motor afaik. Accelerated had like 300+ dyno runs on their frs along with 10s 1/4 runs.

Crawford broke their prototype built block.

Yeah and the P&L Auto BRZ at 400whp is still alive and they even road race it.

i blatantly stated in all the brz threads these things would make huge power in stock motor form. everyone dismissed it.

These will make even more than this in the future as developement and tuning prowess gets better.

The stock internals looked quite beefy in the pictures Crawford posted.

i think that in the next few years these things will maybe make like 6-750 whp on the stock blocks with really good tuners and good gas. Idk if they will last forever but they are capable of making the power in stcok form. 2015 should be boosted version making about 320 chp.

yeah that would be something.

Maybe a stronger sleeve or block. 5-600 whp stock block capable all day long . would be sweeet. seems the block is the major hp killer
