Question Newer OEM head unit compatibility question...

Hey I have an 03 WRX with an 07 dash so I know any of those head units will fit but I was wondering if the newer models such as 08-11 double din models would fit. Not worried about the electrical part just the overall fitment. I would like to upgrade and still keep the stock feel of things.
Thanks

Trust me, installing a head unit from a 08-11 wouldn't be an upgrade.

It was just a thought... don't think I would have done it but was just curious if they fit. I know I had to get the 07 mounting brackets to fit my 03 oem in my new dash.
thanks

Just saying man. People get sick of answering the same questions when they are trying to help people out, which is what I try to do in this area of the forum.

look guys I've been a member here since July of 2005 and I've owned my Suby since Nov of 2002; think I know how to use the forums. I searched in the Nasioc forums for OEM headunit compatibility and didn't come up with anything that I could see that directly answered my question. I wouldn't have asked without searching first. Maybe I overlooked it, but I can tell you this is the reason a lot of people don't use this site anymore since people come on and flame whatever question is asked as if they were total idiots. I find that most people who do this are just trying to up there post count so they can look like they actually know something. It would have taken less time to say Yes or No and that would have been sufficient.
I will respectfully withdraw this question and I'll just move on... Thanks again for nothing
In fact here is how it should have gone http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1960347

this is from just over a week ago, page 3 of the car audio, video, security section. The title is "can I put an 08 stereo in my 06 sti." I dont think that anyone is being hard on you by asking you to search for your answer. I personally was not, but if you continually give people fish...
