Default parts parts parts

Just a general question to the legacy folks...

If someone (who wasn't a vendor) was able to get a few parts (like suspension items for instance) here and there, and was interested in selling them to the legacy folks at less than retail (shipping included) would you be interseted?

Just curious...

I'm thinking aftermarket mainly.... Stuff like whiteline, tein, H&R... If you know of something, including body parts, I can investigate that as well...

Again, mainly aftermarket stuff since getting OEM stuff can be a bit harder (though I'd love to get some B4 OEM stuff for my car... )

I'm sure everyone will be enthusiastic, but not alot of Legacy people spend alot of money when it comes down to it. They are definitly more tight-fisted than the impreza folk. Could be because it's a more mature crowd.

Take a look at GTBGUY's group buys and attempts to get stuff made for Legacys, usually there isn't enough interest.

Unfortuantely I cant seem to keep my wallet closed when it comes to JDM stuff for my GT. JoeT could vouch for that.

Honestly I do agree that its the more mature clientele that the Legacy services, as is evident from our little forum in the corner of the vast I-club. However, that being said. I do not mind shelling out big bucks for quality parts of reasonable price. So Kastle, you can order a big box of that JDM BE stuff and be assured that something in there could be for me.

I want performance products. I want coil-overs. I am going to buy a set in Jan-Feb. The budget is going to be $1200-$1400. Right now I have no idea what to get. So yes if you sell a good set of coil-overs I would be in.

The recent group buys have not had anything for improved performance. I would love to see a GB for a coil-over system rather than carbon fiber body parts and stick on white faced gauges. Bring the "go" products and I will be in on the GBs.

Yeah, if you could bring some of the "go" parts, and also get ahold of some JDM stuff, I'm sure it would sell well. Also, some aftermarket B4 stuff like grills, bumpers, wings, etc.. would probably go well with us BE folk.

As for the money comment, I think we spend a hefty amount on our vehicles, we just spend it more wisely, or conservatively. IMO

HIHO - hehehe "go" products yup I know what you mean. however when I do bring out some hardcore go products, no one bites Exhausts, headers, turbos etc ... hard to say.

Right now I'm considering the Bilstein PSS9 coil-overs. Since the GDA has similar weight to our BD's it maybe a viable option.

I am going to buy a turbo kit in a couple of years. So I am going to wait on the exhaust system untill then.

I am going to get a set made for the GDA too. Do you have any pics on the PSS9 coil-overs? How much are they going to cost? If you do a GB on a good set of coil-overs in Jan-Feb I will be in on it.

HIHO - the PSS9 is on Bilstein's website IIRC. I'm going to see if I can find out what kinda deals we can get. However, It's probably best to confirm that the GDA coil-over will actually fit our BD. I'm hoping to find a GDA owner and take out the suspension to see if it'll fit. Otherwise, I will check w/ the parts guys @ the dealership to see if the part numbers other then the springs are the same. This should confirm fitment.
