Default Which Ems To Use.

ONE QUESTION FOR PEOPLE LOOKING FOR A EMS. HOW MUCH TUNNING DO YOU REALLY NEED? UNLESS YOU ARE RUNNING A FULL RACE ENGINE, I REALLY DONT THINK YOU NEED A MOTEC. I'M RUNNING A HKS F-CON V PRO. ITS NOT PRE PROGRAMMED SO UNLESS YOU REALLY KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING DONT USE IT. I USE IT BECAUSE I PUT 589 HP TO THE WHEELS. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD SYSTEM THAT IS EASY TO TUNE ( YES, YOU DO NEED A DYNO ) AND IS PRE WRITTEN, IT WOULD BE A GREDDY E-MANAGE. IF PEOPLE ARE INTERESTED, I CAN TUNE IT SINCE I HAVE THE PROGRAM FOR IT. THE GREDDY EMS READS OFF OF YOUR STOCK ECU BUT CAN DO EVERY THING A POWER FC,AEM,TEC, OR MOTEC CAN DO EXCEPT RUNNING ON A MAP SENSOR. A GOOD EMS SHOULD RUN CLOSED LOOPE SO THAT IT CAN LEARN. SO KEEP IT IN MINED AND ASK ME FOR ANY MORE QUESTIONS ON COMPUTOR TUNNING YOUR IMPREZA.

If you think the Greddy E-Manage can do everything a TEC, AEM or PowerFC can, you're poorly mis-informed.

have you ever used the greddy e-manage?. oh sorry guys for the caps. Also I never said it will do EVERY THING. like I said the only thing you cant do is convert a MAF to a more responsive MAP sensor. For street use the e-manage would be a better system to run on than a race system like a MOTEC. I'm not sure how long some of you been working on Subaru's, but working on the EJ20 turbo for the last 11years I would go for a e-manage for street use. It also costs considerably less than the other EMS. I dont think any of the users will be logging in on how much fuel they should richen at turn one down the street.

The e-manage can adjust timing. It has a separate harness for it. As for the guy talking about the power fc. where do you get your info?????? The power fc can read both MAP and MAF. OMG you need some serious teaching on what each one can do. As for the F-CON. There are only three people in California that has the Key for the F-CON. And yes I am not the one with it. The people are Mr. Fujita,a tech at HKS usa(no names), and Mike. I'll keep the names discreet for privacy reasons. Oh also the whole BS thing. Have you gone there lately?

I think you scared him away.
He seems to have deleted all of his posts on this thread.

I got the e-manage but having problem installing it for the WRX. I need to find out the 3 rotary switch for WRX and the instruction menu only have it for GC8, not GDA. Anyone install it for their WRX?

How does this "piggyback" signal interceptor unit differ from the DasTek UNIChip that people are already using in WRXs? Does it offer any real gains over the Dastek offering? Other than the GReddy badge?

well it seams that it is basically a $300 (unit) + 45(timing control) + 35 (Injector control 16x16map) = $380 unichip that is user programmable
