Can McLaren do a 1-2 finish like last year?

How will TWO DRS zones work for this race? http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/91556 Should be interesting!

Does the double DRS zone mean that first I overtake you, then you overtake me right back? That will be fun to watch.

Lets count how many spots Weber loses off the line this week.

I'm confident they'll improve it. Even after a while Toyota got a hold of they're problems off the line. And I would venture to say that many people here would say that Red Bull is much better than Toyota ever was (even though I was a fan of that team).

I dont think so, mainly since there is only one detection zone. So only the following driver will be able to use it, and if successful in the first zone pull away even further in the second zone....

"The DRS zone will be on the last straight and the pits straight," said Whiting when asked by AUTOSPORT to confirm where the two zones will be in Canada..
"There will be one detection zone. The initial detection will be after Turn 10, then they can have another go [on the main straight]."

that does not compute. Why have 2 zones and one detenction area? Maybe an equipment constraint being that they didn't forsee having two zones?

Doesn't sound that complicated. The two zones are directly after one another with detection at the hairpin. It's essentially one long DRS zone but since they have to brake for the 'wall of champions', they're calling it a second DRS zone to re-open their wing. So yes, I'd say if you were DRS activated, made a pass, you could re-open your wing again even though you're now ahead. Is that unfair? Maybe. It will be an issue if the DRS zone is too long and passes are too easy (see: Turkey) and on top of that, the passing car gets DRS once ahead as well.

yeah, but it was fun to watch it work at turkey! other tracks, it seems almost pointless. but i agree, it could be too useful.

looking forward to this race and Le Mans, great weekend of motorsports. I just want to go back to Montreal soon. I have been to 3 GP's and have been to the area multiple other times.

I don't think its a team problem, Webber's always had problems at the start.

Got my tickets for the race this morning, hopping on a train Sunday morning, will be back in the evening, I'm excited! Also hoping for someone other than Vettel to win, would like to see Button win, but I know Hamilton really likes this track.
