I'm EXTREMELY interested in the longblock. Have you had a chance to pull the cams to see if the journals are scored from the bearing failure?
How much with engine harness, engine and ECU picked up? Interested in your 'suitable' price

I ask as I have another JDM ECU being offered to me at the moment.

... Feel free to make me an offer over PM, I'll let you know...

To answer your question, I did not get the cams out yet (next weekend). But can tell you, upon noticing rod knock I called the tow truck- the car ran twice after the knock appeared.

I am using the ecu until a replacement gets here. Should be during or right after this coming weekend. Maybe you have a usdm 02-05 laying around?

Let me know.

Thanks,
Mike

If you don't want to bother, I'll make a blind offer but it'll be rather low. at least you won't have to tear down and take more pics

Engine's apart, heads look beautiful, block is clean, no piston damage, no scoring on cylinder walls.

I am ready for offers right now... Thanks,
Mike

how's the rod that had the damaged bearing? did it spin? How bad is the crank journal?

pics?

the cam journals not being scoured is a big plus for my intended use.
