Default Any IndyCar fans

Hey Guys,

Curious if anyone follows the races or drivers?

I happen to be a fan of EJ Viso's

So you like seeing shards of carbon fiber laid across the track?

This. EJ Viso is in the bottom 5 IndyCar drivers. KV has spent some serious money on repairs and new chassis because of him.

That being said, I don't really have a favorite driver and I follow the series pretty closely. If I had to pick I guess it would be Will Power.

Last race is Ej was the fastest car on the track, Will Power is great but makes it kinda boring to watch.

His crashes aren't always his fault either

The constant yellows and inability for drivers to pit correctly put me off. Since the cars are all rev limited so much the ovals can be super boring with everyone just blocking constantly.

If they'd make the Indy cars run courses like Watkins Glen it would be more interesting (like a mini-F-1). Running around in circles loses interest after 10 min in my humble opinion. The drivers are talented but it's like watching golf.

Know how I know you haven't followed Indycar in a few years? They run at road courses all the time, including Watkins Glen (although they dropped the track this year.)

For 9 years they didn't run ovals. But IRL is only from 96, this is what skimobile was talking about.

Yeah well, EJ is a young driver still some to learn but for only being in Indy for 3 years, he's not only improving. I bet he will podium any race, all his few crashes his are really his fault. Long beach was a mistake but everything else has not been his entirely his fault.

Personally i cant stand all of these street courses they run...if they ran long beach and then the rest were permanent road courses id be much more interested

Altgough they did just announce theyll be running the road course instead of the oval at motegi, thatll be a good time

Pretty much every single race, and every single time EJ crashes. Robbin Miller comments on it frequently in his weekly articles on Speed.

I'm glad he is kicking ass on paper, because on track he isn't so hot.

It's really not being a hater, it's the fact that his crash ratio is so high it's the story of his driving.

There have only been two drivers with similar crash %'s - Ed Carpenter (who thankfully seems to have grown out of it after a few years) and Paul Dana - who drove an IndyCar on seven individual days I think, and had crashes on six of them, with day five's crash putting him out for nine months and day seven's crash killing him.

I'm glad you're a fan of Indycar racing and I am glad you are cheering him on btw.. IndyCar racing needs its fans.

I still can't resist this jab though -

Of course he improved, all he has to do is not crash to improve.

You're a PR rep. If you work for EJ, then take this thread to the Motorsports Press Release forum please.

haha Yeah Carmen is toast. She couldn't drive to save her life.. I never see a pro drive so slow!. As for a Rep.. No way.
I have my own biz ladies swimwear.
www.swimbychuckhandy.com

I did get into indy because i did become friends with the drivers in the year i did travel with Carmen. They are all just like us.. I go to a few races when I can these days.

I know them on a personal level. As we get along.. we are all crazy risk takers. I like to live a bit on the edge and take chances while on jetskis and stuff whateve.. I just mentioned him as I'm a fan of him.

I dont talk about racing with them... because i would hate to talk about swimwear on my days off

I personally love Indy. It's by far the best racing to see live and the competition is fairly even. They do a lot of good road courses and even the ovals are fun to watch due to the speed.
