Default Detailed: 2005 STI

Total hours on this detail: 11

Process:
Cleared headlights w/ Meguiars PlastX and 4" orange pad
Interior Cleaned w/ combination of Blitz APC, Cockpit Premium and FK 228
Engine Bay cleaned using Blitz APC and dressed with FK 108
Wheels cleaned using IronX, MAGnificent and dressed with FK 108
Washed with FK 118
Claybar w/ Mother's clay and Mother's QD
Polish w/ 105 on an orange pad
Polish w/ 205 on a white pad
FK 2685 Wax applied
FK 228 for the glass

Today was ridiculously humid which made things a little tricky on this detail. I had to switch to 2685 from the usual 1000P due to the heat and humidity causing the 1000P to stick the paint and not remove cleanly at all.

I've cleared headlamps using 205 before but I wanted to give plastX a try and I was pleasantly surprised. It did a fantastic job.

Unfortunately I didn't get pictures of the interior as I started it the night before and pictures wouldn't have turned out. The carpet and seats needed attention so I used Blitz and a brush to scrub the carpet clean and then vac up the dirt after drying. It turned out much better than I anticipated. It's too bad I didn't get before pictures, it's a night and day difference.

Onto the pictures.
