Question How to drag a Turbo 2.5L Forester?

Hi

I recently completed my Turbo kit project on my 2001 Forester and am ready to get some official 1/4 mile times.

I'm thinking of going to englishtown this friday to test.

I have draged my forester stock @ e-town just for the hell of it, but now I'm putting out a whole lot more power and would like to have the best run possible.

What is the best way to drag race a turbo 2.5 L?

Thanks

Cool

man thats awesome! a turbocharged Forester would rock. i would rather have that than my Rex right now. I know they have them in other countries, i wish they had them here. Well anywho goodluck, maybe you will spank a V-8 that would be funny. About launching it a RS-t guy would probably no best

Default Nice!

Agent,

Was that your Forester I saw being worked on at RalliSpec? I paid Dave a visit not to long ago and saw a Forester in the back of the shop. Nice setup you have! I like the headers and didn't know they would work with a turbokit. Good luck!

Default BTW:

When you get a chance, can you send me your 1/4 mile information once you do your runs? Are you going to be at Atco tonight? The air should be 'chilly' for the way it has been lately.
I'll have to start a whole new section for the 'Forester' 1/4 mile times since no-one has sent me theirs yet. That would be cool!

Hint, HINT: Put a bag of ice on your intercooler before your run(s). It really does help. Good luck!

I put the Stock 1/4 mile run info on the other post.

As for the ice, I was going to do that, but thanks for reminding me to get a bag.

I don't know where Atco is. I always go to Englishtown because it is about 10 minutes from my house.

I'll send you the info as soon as I get back from the track.

I did pretty well except for my launches. You can check out the times on the link to the other thread. It's a very nice improvement over stock but I am sure I can so better with an improved launch.

How to drag a Turbo 2.5L Forester? - I'd say use a tow truck or maybe just a big tractor and a couple of chains.

Honestly, get a G-tech (accelerometer) and just practice launching. Then eat lunch, and do it again - in 4 days of this, maybe 10 launches before lunch and 10 after, you will be launch in your sleep. While launching in your sleep they will have you commited, and then I will bid on your estate and take away the turbo Forester.

Just practice.
