couple questions about the splitter.

is that aluminum and whats the thickness?
how far back does it go?
pending the answers to the above questions would you do 150 without the APR rods?

yes its aluminum.. 1/8" thick.. it goes from the beginning of the wheel arch straight across to the other.. uses mounting holes off prior plastic pieces that it replaces.

Note that my car is a 2005 sti with an 07 front conversion. there is mounting holes along the bottom lip of the front bumper going all the way around.

And yes im willing to take 150$ for the lip only

Wouldnt thinner be better? As it would bend lower at high speeds and create more downforce?

IMO since i drove this setup on my daily driver.. 1/8" is perfect.. i bolted it in the same holes your plastic undershield and mounted it to my front bumper in a similar fashion as anyone mounting a v-limited lip. with the APR rods I honestly could stand dead center between the rods and it was strong enough to hold my weight and not deform. NOT THAT i condone speeding but i took this set up to speeds in excess of 150mph to test this out and it held up perfectly!

And if it didnt, youd have run it over, had a puncture and crashed into some trees.

^_~

Anyway, the APR rods are a must have. Can you make it thinner than 1/8th? I'd want it so that it began to bend downward near 80-100 mph to provide the extra downforce. The rods might prevent that though. Hmm.

It was a joy to drive to Mount Washington... at higher speeds it feels like adding weight to the front of the car... as well as it seems my average engine temp went slightly lower as well...

I will make whatever you want lol.. I can make it out of .090 but that is the thinnest ill go. I will be making mine again out of 1/8th with APR 10mm rods w/ quick disconnects and i will be making a removable panel to make oil changes a breeze

yea i bought a v-limited for my blobeye and ended up doing a front end swap to hawkeyes that weekend and made a diffuser for it.. put the rods on it and made it into an actual product.. Just let me know in advance if you want to upgrade.. Im not a vendor nor do I stock APR rods so there would be about a week or so wait involved. Spread the word to anyone you think would be interested and HELP ME PAY MY CAR PAYMENT ON TIME! lol

I actually will, believe it or not. I am kind of an aero geek so having someone who makes a product to specification (for hawkeyes especially) and which seems to have a fairly standard install would be very beneficial. The price quoted in this thread also is quite reasonable.

i believe we took this whole setup off my car and installed it on jcoppahs car after i drove 150ish miles to him in less than 30 minutes. as simple as it gets with a solid foundation if you want to venture into brake ducts or route a Cold Air down their similar to that of the 08+ wrx's

Oh no not worried about brake ducts. Basic stuff is my aero goal for the car once the suspension is finalized.

Front splitter setup like yours + canards
Completely flat bottom plate running the entire length of car
Rear diffuser
