Day 3 thoughts for those thinking about it..................
-Day one pain is like a constant mild kicked in the nuts pain. Day 2 and 3 pain is more like "bruised and hurts to touch or move" pain.
-Went back to work today, bored out of my damn mind after spending two days at home.
-Wearing nut hugger underwear takes some getting used to and are uncomfortable, but having the boys on lock down feels better than the pain of them moving around.
-Swelling has gone down and no bruising as of yet.
-Sleeping is fairly difficult.
-Morning wood HURTS, trying to avoid arousal for 3 days is much "harder" than I thought

Got my Vas.. about 12 years ago after my son was born. Went in.. Put me in a room.. pants off.. got on the table. Nurse walks in with a razor and shaved off spots on either side of the sack. Doc came in.. 2 shots on either side.. waited a minute trying to talk Golf.. I was like.. Dude.. really? Used these little clamper things after he found the tube. Cut a slit on one side.. pulled the tube out. Took a 1/4 inch bit out of the tube. Got a metal clamp and clamped off one end. Then used a soldering iron type thing and burned both ends. Let go.. 3 stitches. Rinse repeat for the other side.

Felt like I got kicked in the nuts for a day. 2 days later I was back to training.

No issues since.

Best part.. the nurse gave me a chocolate candy thing of a naked chick. I guess its their "lol" gift after your done. Bitch Exwife ate it.

Well, I am sitting at home with frozen green beans between boxer brief #1 and #2.

No scalpel technique, worst part was the squishing the nut to find the tube (or whatever he was doing) I looked down a few times even though they said not to, looks like what I saw on YouTube. Nothing to special, looks like a spaghetti strand. I would call it a bit uncomfortable, but not painful. Currently on Vicodin, and I will probably keep it that way through tomorrow, but it isn't as bad as I was expecting so far. I am going to do my best to take it easy, as I have a feeling that it should be alright unless I strain something or do too much too soon.

The nurse liked the shirt, but the doctor wasn't known for his sense of humor.

Had mine done today. I went with the scalpel and needle. There was no pain during the procedure, just the pulling and tugging while grabbing the vas. I thought I was going to pass out and sweating as if I just ran a 5k. Now I am home with a bunch of oxycode and ice.

had it done a year ago, the only thing i recommend is when they say dont do any heavy lifting for about two weeks even if you feel fine, LISTEN TO HIM, i moved a heavy ass oak desk 4 days after since I felt fine, BAD idea, pain came back and stayed for about 2 weeks. The synthetic valium they put me own when I got the snip done was AWESOME, i want more!

Just had a consult with my urologist. I've got an appointment a few weeks from now. Looking forward to shooting blanks.

While i understand the consequences I still cant fathom the part about not being able to spray it all over a girls chest or face. I need that personally.

Not sure if serious....

You splooge the same amount, there's just not sperm in it. You do know that you can't see sperm with the naked eye, right?

I had the snip 20 years ago after my second child. Never looked back. There comes a time when you just know you don't want any more kids and don't want to worry about it. Last year a friend of mine (over 50) just had another kid. Yikes! I love my kids, but if I were told I was going to be a pappa again, just shoot me!

You do know that you still can after getting clipped right? Just with no swimmers.

Had it done last week. The easiest way I can explain this past week is that it feels like I sat on my nuts.

The actual procedure was 15 min and the doctor and I had a conversation about football the entire time. You're so numb you feel no pain, but you feel everything that is going on.

Almost 4 years after mine, IIRC it was Halloween of '08. Pretty much the same experience as everyone else. I had a buddy tell me what to expect and to get bags of frozen peas to keep on rotation. Between that and taking my pain meds ASAP it wasn't bad.

The only difference was that to my surprise my s/o's good friend is a nurse... and she held my wang for the doctor when he did his business. That was pretty GD weird and embarrassing, because your wang is pretty much inverted from holy crap factor of someone hacking away at your sack.

Yeah, my wife and 4mo old daughter were with me.. (they make the wife sign a consent form).. and the nurse made a comment about how she used to work at a pediatrics office.

I almost made a joke about her having seen plenty of penises this size.

Semen is like 90% stuff from your ampulla, seminal vesicles and prostate gland.. the other 10% comes from your epididymis (which is the soft stuff on top of your balls) with a tiny fraction of that 10% being sperm... that's all you're removing from the plumbing.

The tissue lobby would try to make the procedure illegal if that weren't the case.

So... how did you guys choose a good doctor for this? Did you just go off of your primary care physician's recommendation?

I understand that this procedure is not rocket science, but
a)two kids is enough for my wife and I.
b)I like my parts down there

I want to make sure i find someone that is good at what they do, and it feels like i should spend more time researching for a urologist than i do searching online for a good price on stupid stuff like guitar strings.
