Default Help with Windshield Cleaning

I have tried windex, stoners, my detailing buddy....and nothing works on my windshield. It is a blue shine that you cant see when it is bright and sunny but when it is cloudy or the windshield gets wet it is clear as day and quite annoying. Im at the point where Im just about to get a new windshield. It almost looks like it is some kind of oil or something and it drives me crazy. Anyone have any ideas on what I could use to try and get rid of this or if anyone has had this happen to them please let me know what they did to fix it. Any response is appreciated...Thanks.

it does look like some kind of oil
I would try rubbing alcohol, goof off or a degreaser and last resort would be a polish with m105 or 205 with a DA.

You can also try a fine scouring powder called "Bon Ami". Any grocery store will have it. Use a soft cloth and scrub in a circular pattern. It will cut through the film that is on there. It is use for glass, fine china and porcelain. I have used it and it works great.

The other thing you can get is "Denatured Alcohol". Lowe's or Home Depot or True Value will carry it. It leaves no residues like Goof Off will.
