Yeah, I was going to hang with Victor Kuhns (#116, GC8) but I don't have a car reliable enough to get there and back

Looks like an Audi is up first in AWD Time Attack. It should be cool to see the unlimited guys break the 10 minute mark.

How do you spend that much money on R&D on a car and loose brakes 3/4 the way up the hill, nice job Millen, FAIL.

Congrats to Monster on the great 9:51 run a new world record unofficially.

The Barrier has fallen. Too bad it was on the wings of pavement.

Huge accomplishment none the less.

Is that the one that went off halfway through on raceday? That car was FLYING. What a shame.

We're headed back to Texas now. It's been a great week. Working with Brianne and Jason is such an honor. 1st place makes all the hard work and lack of sleep well worth it!
Also want to say thank you to Modern Automotive Performance, GrimmSpeed, Turn In Concepts and Amsoil for work with us to supply us with amazing parts to help make this possible!

Congrats bcorn and awdtuning.com. Winning the AWD class is not easy, and there was some good competition! I would have posted in this earlier but I was too busy watching the race cars in Bottomless Pit! Great day!

dude its been mostly pavement since the old record fell in 2007. Theres rumors that next year since the whole thing will be paved that they are moving the start line back to where it used to be or farther to make them have to beat the 10.00 again.

umm, Monster almost didn't make it to the top. He started to overheat. He was spewing water at the top of the hill. These machines are at the limit and things will happen. At those altitudes, things can happen that you would never see back down low. Brake fuild will boil at a lower temp at the altitudes they run at and radiators will not transfer the heat as well in less dense air. Rhys still ran a pretty good time with the brake problem.

Not a rumor, the plan is to have the whole road paved for 2012.

Don't bother with this retard. This kid problem has issues building a sandwich, let alone a race vehicle. What's amazing is there were people this ignorant on the mountain. Why do so many people breed?
