Post Rallycross on March 24th in Virginia

The 2nd rallycross of the DC Region is on Saturday, March 24th. Go to http://www.dcrally.com/rallycross/rallycross.htm for more information. This is as close to stage rallying as you can get without all the risk. We had people drive down from as far as Boston. The number of entries has been bumped up to 80 cars so you should have no problem getting a slot. Turnout for Subarus was good for the last event, but it will even be better for this one. Registration can be done online.

80 Friggin cars!!!!!
How can Rob even think about having 4 runs per??? and what about these guys who are in a stock heat and end up not running until the afternoon?? Remember the last one?? some of us Scoobies had to run in crappy conditions early and then when Otis and some others got there... the rtrack was all nice and dried out for them!!!
I know that Rallying is all about that, changing weather conditions, however, in those examples, EVERYONE runs the same conditions practically. Not quite fair to place farther down the order in the end because someone got to wait till the conditions were better.

Christian,

We are going to modify the way the cars are run so that everyone will have an equal chance to drive on the changing conditions. Having at least 4 runs is not impossible, it takes organization. We are supposed to get some hands-on assistance from the guys who run the rallycrosses in NY. They have experience with lots of cars getting lots of runs. Having 80 cars will help to keep the organization afloat financially.

I'm there as an organizer.
Mark Williams, Tom McGeer's codriver will be there with more posters.
Several NY region rallycars have registered recently and the CT ClubRally winning Impreza may be there as well.

There are several rally cars from the NY region that just entered and have not been added to the entry list.
Tom McGeer's codriver Mark Williams will be there as will Subaru poster giveaways.
We have magnetic SCCA RallyX # backers available with sticker #s. Looks like the real rallycars but you can remove them after the event if you wish. Price $50/pair.
