Post lightweight battery replacement...

What would all you racing freaks (myself included ) recommend for a good lightweight battery that still has enough cca to start the RS on those harsh cold CO winter mornings (sub zero temps on occasion). This may be a sound like a silly weight saving option, but right now I have an Optima red-top and those things weigh a ton!!

Thanks,
Strep

Hawker Genessis. I have seen them used on Rx-7s, and if they start a 7 they can start a 500 cid V8. They are very light too.

I have a Honda Civic batt. Did you ever see those things, they are tiny.

someone locally suggested and old Civic battery. I may try that if I can't find one. I'd use a gell cell lawnmower batt. but I don't think that would be able to start the car in freezing temps.

FYI, you can turn over a Rx-7 engine with your hands....
