Default Subaru Cruise VIII

Summer 2011 - Subaru Cruise VIII
30-31 July

Please fill out the following simple form.
More fields may be required in upcoming days as we finalize details.

Unavoidably this is not a show without a headmaster !

IMPORTANT SAFETY RULES - click me !

SCHEDULE

Saturday 30 July
-- Meet in Schaumburg @ Starbucks @ Streets of Woodfield @ 0630 hrs.
-- Depart 0645 - after you all sign the waiver.
-- Arrive Wisco Dells @ 0930 hrs. Anyone from Wisconsin please meet us here @ 0930 hrs.
-- Breakfast at Paul Bunyans around 0930 AM.
-- Refuel, hit the road no later than 11 AM. Proceed in the general Northwest Direction.
-- By 4-5 pm we arrive at destination and set up for the night.

Sunday 31 July
-- At 0930 hrs we must be ready to hit the road again (already had breakfast). We refuel and proceed homebound on leg 2 of the journey.
- By 1230 hrs I plan on merging on 90-94 (they are both in the area, likely 94 East) and by 3-4 PM to be in Chicago.

A GMRS radio and a GPS is also needed by all participants. With regards to radios there are 2 common types of radios: FRS and FRS/GMRS radios. GMRS radios are higher powered, therefore we must use these types of radios. For some of us on the cruise it is less important since we have powerful 4 and 5 Watt professional radios but your typical bubble pack is 0.5 - 1 Watt. Nope we are not using CB, but if anyone has, please bring it along and be our long range ears on the road.

Code:
1	1	FRS/GMRS	High
2	2	FRS/GMRS	High
3	3	FRS/GMRS	High
4	4	FRS/GMRS	High

Reference Subaru Chicago to get the group rate (15% off) $67.99 + tax for the night of 30th July. Do it before 25th or else the room reservations will be released. Each room has 2 queen beds so you can split the room so individual cost will be $35 each.

Black River State Forest Camping
Read this

Then access the Reserve America website

Select the date:
Costs are also $35 each (15 for reservation, 10 for a reservation fee and $10 for the day car sticker for Wisconsin State Parks). You can avoid the reservation fee by just showing up at the camp site but there is no telling if you all will stay together.
Please start reservations around loop 30. Each site holds two tents. But even so, the fee is paid per tent.

I did not name anyone in those stories that are now part of NASIOC folklore. I will e-mail you some suggestions with the routes. You are by far the mostest capable with routing.

Kamil and Dewey say that long straight flat runs thru cornfields are all the rage this year. Kind of like Algonquin.

I'm a maybe. I've been on cruises of this sort before, just not this one. Looked into attending last years Fall special, but didn't have time to work it into the schedule.

Hmm...some high speed Christian motoring.

You REALLY wanna do this cruise. I was a noob last year and had a bunch of fun. It is completely worth it if you love your car and love driving it.

Let me reassure everyone that if your car is in desperate condition you are not welcome. We DO NOT want drivers in cars that are in desperate need of repairs.

Also, if you think you are John Wayne and start making a negative impression, me or anyone else of the leaders will call police, complete with your plate number.
