Default Looking for details on removing center console/dash

Ive been searching the forums for a while and cant find exactly what I need. I want to paint the silver trim in my bugeye around the dash/vents. Was hoping there was a thread already about removing the 02-03 dash and center console, or one that describes how to remove and paint these parts. Thanks

If it's like my 04 STi...

Push the cup-holder out. Remove the two screws on either side. Pull holder out.

Pull the upper vents out (just pull, not screws). Disconnect the hazard switch.

Pull the radio bezel out. It's just push-pins and pulls out. Unclip the electrical connections.

Remove the A/C controlls by remove the screws that attach to the back of the radio bezel (4?)

To paint, scuff with 800 grit. Wash/dry parts.

Apply light coats of primer (1-2) then paint (2-3) then clear (2). If need be, wet-sand and polish clear.

Reinstall.

Profit.

Never hurts to undo the battery when working with the electronics
