Post 4 Cars for Portugal...Here comes Toshi!

A bit taken from Rally-Live.com

FOUR CAR ENTRY FOR SUBARU IN PORTUGAL

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Richard Burns and Petter Solberg nominated

A difficult choice
for David Lapworth.

The Subaru World Rally Team will be entering four cars in the forthcoming TAP Rallye de Portugal, round three of the FIA World Rally Championship, which commences on Thursday March 8.

The team will be nominating Richard Burns and Petter Solberg to score points, and also entering two further Subaru Impreza WRC2001s for Markko Märtin and Toshi Arai.

Team Principal David Lapworth said : “Petter and Markko performed beyond everybody's expectations despite extremely difficult conditions in Sweden. On the one hand, I was extremely pleased with Petter's measured and mature drive that ensured the team collected four points. One the other hand, Markko gave an indication of how quick he can be with some very impressive stage times on the final day of the rally. The whole team could not be more delighted with the way in which both young drivers acquitted themselves. There was really nothing to choose between the performance of both of them.”

The rally also marks the team debut of Toshi Arai, last year's FIA Team's Cup champion, who will be partnered by his new co-driver, Glenn MacNeall.

I think I may have to put in for that Saturday off so I can follow the rally!
