Default Carbon Fiber Question



i buffed it out with some really fine sand paper and then polished it with wax.

but i came back.

any help?

i heard doing something with a heat gun works....

What did you do.
What sandpaper.
Wetsanded?
How long.
Is it clearcoat?
Is it bare resin?
How do you polish with wax?

yeah wet sand...

i think its clear coat.

came back in like 4 months
i used some kind of meguires polish wax.

it looks like it is "inside" the resin. Can you feel it? Was it a cheap piece?

It appears that the clear coat is failing and you thinned it out even more from sanding it. Notice how the vertical panel has no signs of the problem that the horizontal surface is showing; at least from what the picture is showing. That's because the UV rays hit the horizontal surfaces more directly/often. The only thing you can do at this point is try to polish it to be uniform. But, most likely you will have to have someone re-clear coat it to get it to an acceptable appearance. Keep it waxed or sealed with a paint sealant(like Megs NXT tech wax 2.0 which is actually a sealant). Paint sealant will last about 6 months vice any wax that will only last about 2-3 max. Stop sanding on your paint until you practice more on scrap panels from the junkyard. If you can feel any edges of the circles/spots that have formed this means the clear/resin coating is failing/deteriorated.
