Default Emblem Scratches

I searched for a thread and couldn't find any, so I apologize if this was already discussed elsewhere. I have some very light scratches on my front grille stars emblem. They're not noticeable from more than 3 or so feet away, and you probably wouldn't notice them unless you were looking for them, but they are there. I was originally just going to use ordinary Rain-X glass polish, but I read on the back a warning that said to not use on plastics. What should I use? Thanks.

Plastic polish?

Meguires makes a nice one.

Okay, thanks. I did see that yesterday when I was looking in PepBoys, I think I'll pick it up, unless anyone has any better options.

Industrial grinder to sand it to a nice, fine polish.

....jef's recommendation is spot on to what I would have suggested but success will depend on the extent of the damage. Something like Meguiars Plast-X is relatively mild. You can also use a light polish like Meguiars Swirl-X and perhaps something stronger like Meguiars Ultimate Compound if needed (followed by the Swirl-X to remove any marring left by the UC).

Do you know how the emblem got scratched up? Is this on your 2011?

Just did mine today! used Meguires plastic x and rubbed the living hell out of my front and rear emblems and they look better than new! spent about 20 minutes on each one.
