That's the best video from this years event and one of the more impressive runs considering the car was brand new and it was their first outing at Pikes Peak.

Kinda new. Prost was testing it last year. New to Hillclimb and PP, though. That car was very impressive up the mountain this year.

The Dacia was the most impressive car this year. Can't wait to see them back next year with some larger turbos, and more power. I got to meet the team and driver, see it test at PPIR, and see it dyno at my friends shop here in Colorado Springs. I was very impressed with the team, driver, and especially the car. The car is just amazing.

Spare engine, just incase!

My dad was a part of the dacia team, and yes this is one amazing team and car, I only got to see the car as it came back from the race.
It was shipped out from long beach CA two days after the race.

And yes they were already talking of a faster car for next year, they really want to beat monsters time and over all this race.

Congrats to them for taking third place for there first time at this race and rookie of the year.

Awesome car, I was really looking forward to seeing it on the mountian. The video you have is awesome too! Cant wait to see it come out next year and try again for the record. How much power did the car make this year?

Peak power was not the major issue, it was the power it lost as it went up the hill. I think it made 630-650ish on the dyno (it was all in metric per the tuners request) at 30 PSI, but I heard they were only seeing 8 psi toward the summit. the car weighs around 2,000 lbs they said. the 850 number that was thrown around in the pre-race info was on an engine dyno, and probably at lower altitude. if they could keep that 600+ whp all the way to the summit, they will be much faster next year.

That car was pure r35 GT-R power. In france its uncommon for chassis dynos so yea as said earier it made 850 ps on the engine dyno. It made 650 at revolutions in springs, but as with any car going up the peak they get robbed of half their power at the top section. By far the most prepared team there imo, they were the only ones with a full continental breakfast EVERY day of practice. ;D btw, anyone else catch what they used to mount their wing?, Very badass and ingenious maybe someone will do it for their weekend warriors/street machine.
