OT: Removing Sticker Adhesive from Golf Clubs

I know it's sort of (completely) off-topic, but I trust this forum more than many others on NASIOC.

I recently bought new clubs and, in trying to take the stickers off, noticed an impossible-to-remove-by-hand adhesive left behind. The tougher stuff comes from the price tags put on by the store itself, not from the OEM stickers. I tried hot water w/ dish soap with little to no progress.

What can I use to remove the adhesive without damaging either the painted graphite shafts or the steel shafts of my clubs?

wd-40 and done

I won't have any issues with the wd-40 leaving any residue or smell?

Gasoline. Then rub a "little tree" smell good on it to hide the smell.

Black Ice FTW

WD40 may leave a residue, gas won't as much. Gas up a rag and wipe clubs.
