BC Racing BR coilovers with front camber plates. Fronts maxed with not preload. Collars are stacked

Fender mods: Rolled front fenders, rolled and slightly pulled rears

RE070 fits beefy. I have a spare cheap brand 225/45/17 for a short period of time and that fits a lot better. I personally love this beefy setup with the slight stretch.

question about wheel/tire fitment...

I'm looking for a set of winter wheels/tires for my '12 wrx. I've been looking at older OEM 16" wheels (I like the way they look and their usually pretty cheap). From what I can tell, older RS wheels are 16x6.5 with 53mm offset. I'd plan on running a 215/55/16 winter tire on it. I'm in PA, and from what I can tell, I don't need to have TPMS to pass inspection. It looks to me I should have no problems with this setup. Am I correct, or is there something obvious I'm missing?

Pull the **** out of your fenders, get real coilovers with a stiff spring rate and adjustable dampening, pull the fenders some more, 235/35 or 225/40 tires... oh ya, pull those wagon fenders some more!

wheel size/offset: 17x7.5 i forget the offset. 53?
tire brand/model: Continental DWS or DW perhaps
tire size: TBD 235/45, 235/40?
suspension: EPIC springs later (-~1.5" front, -~1.0 rear)
alignment: stock
fender mods: none

i guess my real question is, can i run a 235/45 or 235/40 on these wheels, with this setup, without any rubbing in the rear? i'm guessing there'll be tons of room... just want some confirmation.

I am very new to this, and I am just wondering if this set-up will bolt on and clear the fenders/suspension etc... By my crude measurements it looks as if it should. Also will they clear the Sti brembos?
Thanks Guys!

Probably, and yes.

You'll probably need some form of camber control.

I currently have a stock suspension on a 2012 WRX Hatch. Here is the setup I am looking at running and am wondering if it's possible.

17x8.5 Volk TE37SL (40MM offset)
245/40 17 TOYO Proxes R1R

Question, other than the hub swamp I have to complete, is this a doable setup? Will I need to roll fenders or change the camber at all?

Somewhere down the line (probably next year) I plan on buying the KW V3 coilovers for the car as well.. so please let me know if that is also doable. I won't be dropping the car much.

Additionally, I will be running the car in Autocross and RallyCross.. so keep that in mind when answering. When I Rally though, I will be using the stock rims and my winter tires, however when I auto cross I will be using the Volks.

Thanks in advance!

Do you plan to compete in a class? For racing applications this makes a big difference.

the RallyX in the FLR SCCA classes by engine type and not mods so there's no worries there, however the AutoX does class by a bunch of different things... I haven't looked too far into it, but since I already have done some engine mods, I'm really kinda thinking that I'm "too late" to worry about which class I'll be in.

any light you can shed on this would be great though

EDIT: Looks like I would be in Street Touring as I still have the CAT in the up pipe. I should be OK with most of the mods I want to do, and the 2012 fits into the STU which means I can run any size rim I'd like and a MAX of 245mm on the tire.

Having read through all that, I should be good to go with this setup! (assuming my original questions get answered )

Edit2: Would I want to go with the 245/40 17 or 245/45 17? Since the 2012 has 17x8 I'm only increasing the width by a half an inch... the 40's are much more cost effective but if the 45 is the "proper" size to get, I'll go with that.

dude. how many times are you going to ask?

without proper camber control, you wont make these fit properly.

Same here. I have 18x9 raderwork MTEN-80s on stock struts with lowering springs(unknown type) and I fit them just fine. Might need to have your fenders roller and possibly pulled in the rear but you should be fine.
