05 STi, KW V3, Enkei NT03 18x8.5et38. Currently the tires are 235/40 and while turned about 45* up front (for an illustration to the right), the left very front of the tire comes soooo close to the wheel well that I simply cant comprehend how do ppl run ANY other size larger than 235/40.

No camber plates. Currently, the alignment specs suggest cca. 4.4* of caster, -1* of camber.

I would like to go to 245/40 but I am 99.9% positive it will rub while turning.

Any experience, photos, suggestions?

Thanks.

He says his alignment is stock. Don't know if thats stock spec or since the factory. Either way, I'd say check the alignment.

So maybe a 18 x 8.5 245/35/18 what offset? i think they come in a +35 or +30.

Dont want to have any scrubbing issues but want to have the same sort of look as the above picture

If you want that look you need WIDE tires like a 255/35 on that 8.5 at a minimum with some camber and roll/pulled fenders. Try finding a wheel with an offset in the high 40's or use spacers on an OEM wheel with a wider lower profile tire.

Is there a big difference between 225/40 and 235/40 on a 18x9.5?

Model: WRX
Wheel size/offset: 17x9 +35
Tire Brand: Hankook V12 or HTRZ III
tire size: 245/40/17 or 255/40/17
suspension: ST coilovers and Group-N topmounts
fender mods: none yet

For any of you that have 17x9s on your car. Planning on running 255/40/17 or 245/40/17

What modifications did you need for this to work? I have about a finger and a 1 inch gap all around.

I'm guessing roll flat and pull all around and probably some camber plates?

Hey all, quick fitment question. im horrible when it comes to wheel/tire sizes blah blah blah. I have a 2012 wrx hatch lowered 1.5i nches and im planning on running an 18x8 +35 wheel with a 235 40 tire. Would i need to roll my fenders with 0 camber or will that fit with no modification. Thanks guys!

0 camber would be dangerous. i would not recommend that.

For some reason the search is only showing the first few pages of this thread...

My debate is this:
2006 STi
Want to get Rota G Forces on my Eibach lowering springs

Debating between 18x8.5 or 18x9

Tires would be Hankook V12's if I go w/ the 8.5 (225/40/18) and 9 (235/40/18)

Not looking to roll. Would I fit the 9's with that tire? I think 225/40/18 on a 9 might be stretching too much?

you'll need to roll with the 18x9 gforce. pretty much regardless of tire.

and that much stretch looks STUPID unless you are fender on rim low.

Hey everyone I have a silver 04 wrx and am looking to put new 17 in rims this spring. I was looking into BR09's either in hyper silver or black. Im on the stock suspension currently and was wondering which would look better. Open to other suggestions as well. New to the forums btw so apologies if not posted in the right area. Thank you ahead of time

Do you think 245's on the same set up work?

I would think so, I had quite a bit of room, but couldn't say for sure.

Would someone please be able to help me out with my setup?

Year: 2007
Model: Impreza 2.5 N/A WAGON
Suspension: Coilovers; whatever I order. KW V1's more than likely.

What I want to run:
18x8.5 +45.

I am wondering if someone would be able to confirm that I would be able to clear with just a roll and pull on the rear fender. Would I need to run much pass natural camber?
