Wheels should be in soon and wont be installed in the summer. On the GR models, there are no camber plates for rear coils which is why I wanted to ask if people think that natural camber should be enough. Not planning on slamming the car, just avoiding wheel gap as it currently sits. Will I need to purchase rear lower control arms to adjust camber?

Also, I would like to know what people think of a 235x35x18 tire to fit the wheels. 10mm spacers min. will be required to clear the front brembos. Thanks in advanced everyone!
you need 20mm to clear the brakes.

I have no problems transfering my stockies over as long as it works, it's the staggard fitment I'm kind of concerned with.

Here is another set I am looking at.

18x8 +40 front on 245/40/18

18x9 +40 rear on 245/40/18

If I can get away without a fender roll then I would be pretty happy with picking these up. Ideas?

You can't safely run a staggered fitment on an all-wheel drive Subaru. That size would work without fender mods but I would not ever recommend running different widths on the car.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm not mistaken, you can stagger fitment as long as you have the same contact patch with your tires. (ex: 225/40 and 245/40).

no. not on subaru cars.

1.) the idea is that on a symmetrical awd system, you need matching rolling diameters. this is impossible to do, due to different profile characteristics of same size tires on different sizes wheels. this is why VW, Audi, Mercedes, and BMW's have staggered fitment, its a different type of awd system.

2.) some people try running two different sized tires to match rolling diameters. this gets the diameter correct, however the different grip characteristics between the front and rear cause the exact same slip-grip-slip action that destroys the clutch packs in the center diff.

either way, its no beuno. its been proven over and over with real world examples of failure.

Looking to see if this steel wheel will fit my car..

Black Steel Wheel 16" x 6.5" 5x100mm, located here:
http://tiny.cc/pfiurw (eBay link)

I haven't bought tires yet, but am looking to buy Continental DWS, the biggest fit on these wheels.

So, do these fit my car, and what's the biggest tire size I can get with this?

No rush on an answer, but any response is appreciated

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, just direct me where to post and i'll delete this.

Hopefully this is a simple question:

Car/Model : 2006 Impreza STi
Wheel : OE 08-12 STi BBS
Tires : OE Dunlop SP Sport 600
Tire Size : 245/40/18
Use : Spirited Driving
Suspension : KW V1

I am not sure if I would need a spacer in the back to make the wheels fit.

Alignment: around -2 camber front/rear

I'd prefer going with an offset of 42-44, but I've found a set of wheels that I like. I already planned to roll both front and back fenders. Will I require pulling my rear fenders with this offset?

Im looking at getting a set of drag dr31 in 17" not sure if 7 or 8 wide would be best and am taking reccomendations on tire sizing also. Dont want to do any fender mods. It looks like the offset is +40

I looked through the drag thread but didnt see alot on the wagons

tire brand/model: Bridgestone RE760

alignment: F&R plates maxed out. Haven't gotten her on an alignment rack yet.
fender mods: Front fenders are rolled. Rear fenders are rolled and pulled about a half inch
spacers: Nopers

I wanted an aggressive stance, yet I like a good amount of tire. Daily this setup without rubbing (if you don't count my liners)

Excuse the crappy phone pics

So I'm debating on a set of wheels. Looking for the widest wheel possible while maintaining functionality and a meaty tire. Leaning towards an 18x9et35 or 18x9.5et38 rpf1's with a 245 or 255 tire. As I find other wheels I will post offsets. What y'all think? (Yes I will pull/roll fenders)

245 or 255 on an 8 inch wheel looks nice and fat.

Car/Model : 2012 WRX sedan
Wheel : Cosmis racing MRII 18x8.5 +22
Tires : Not sure
Tire Size : 255 or 265/35/18
Use : Spirited Driving
Suspension : Fortune Auto 500 coilovers

From the research I've done it seems like a +22 offset is going to be pretty aggressive. How much rolling and pulling would I have to do? Is it even possible? I've went through a couple pages and haven't found anything with a similar set up. Import Image said they're coming out with a +38 mrII wheel soon, so I might just be patient and wait it out until then. Thanks ahead for any info.
