Hasn't been aligned in 18 months or more, in which time I installed the T2s with Cusco camber plates, then installed GD STI front control arms and a Whiteline roll center kit, then installed Vorshlag camber plates. I have Enkei NT03's that are 18x9.5 with a 27 offset.
the car currently has 245/40/18's on right now and I had Rally Armour mudflaps on but took them off because I had a slight rubbing issue with the spacer for one of the screws inside the mud gaurd that holds the mudflaps in. I took them off so now I have no rubbing issues but now I'd like to go with a wider tires.... I'm thinking 275/35/18 Dunlap Direzza Z1 Star Specs Need help because i'm looking to do this on Wednesday, Also i'm going for wider tires so that I can get more grip on the track because the car is killing the 245's on the track and they def. dont have the level of grip i'm looking for. Thanks in advance guys ![]() |

What's the more "correct" tire width for a 9" wheel, 255/40/17 or 265/40/17? I know both are well within spec, is the difference so close that it just comes down to the particular tire brand?

I run 255/40-17 on 17x9 +45 or +49. I think that's ideal if you don't want to do a lot of fender mods. 265/40-17 is starting to get a bit large in diameter, and will require some sort of roll/pull of the fenders. Also, there are a lot less choices in 265/40-17.
