Default Not reaching target boost with OTS map

So I went stage 1 with the Cobb OTS map (ACN91) and I really felt a difference. I had to take the car in (for some white smoke from the exhaust that went away) and reflashed back to factory tune. When I got the car back from them, I went back to the same Stage1 map.

But, even right after I flashed it, my butt dyno doesn't feel like it was pulling quite as hard as it was before. It felt like I wasn't really reaching the target boost like I was before.

Granted I never logged beforehand (nor do I know how to do it now), but, using the AP and taking a live reading of the boost amount, the most I'm getting is 14.3 on a 2nd or 3rd gear pull. I'd imagine the AP is fairly accurate, and it does sound lower than what the stage1 is targeted to achieve.

I'm quite sure it's not pulling like it used to, and am curious what I can do to fix it or what the issue may be?

Read the map notes and see what your target boost is supposed to be.

Exactly. What year and make is Your car? My nasioc app doesn't show your profile.

I have an 11 wrx and same exact thing happened to me. I did, however, add an aem cai. Anyways, same issue after visiting the dealer. My target boost is 17 psi. It turns out I had to increase my wastegate duty. Cobb has an ots map for over or under boosting. By applying that map, I am now achieving 16.9 Max boost and what a difference! Check that out And report back.

Download The High Waste Gate Map From Cobb! That Should Fix It , My Problem Was The Opposite , I Was Overboosting, and I Downloaded The Low Wastegate Map And It Fixed It

Should I have to change maps if nothing physically changed between them? I guess I'm confused . . . Does the LWG map correct it and then its back to normal, or is it always a tweaked map?

Different cars can respond differently when it comes to boost control due to mechanical variation, design of the aftermarket part (ex. downpipe for stage 2 cars), and at times, even the conditions the cars is run. So, you would be permanently running the map that allowed you to hit closest to the designated peak boost target (as described in the map notes) without overboosting, whether that is the LWG, NWG (normal wastegate), or HWG map.

So, try the HWG map and hopefully that solves the issue of underboosting? Also, how do you know if you are overboosting?

From the map notes I read of the Stage 1 - 91 ACN, it says target boost is 14.5, and my AP said I was hitting 14.3. But, it really doesn't feel as fast as it was before...

The butt dyno can lie. You are basically at target boost - should be a +/- in the notes. There is no need to switch to the hwg map.

I purchased the torqued performance map and am extremely happy with it! Hit 17.7psi, this map pulls way harder. Got my 1st 5.19 0-60 (according to the AP), even with a fairly weak launch (2.2 60ft).
