I just did it a few months ago. I'm sorry I can't help (way to busy lately). It was really easy but scary. What directions are you using? All I did was put them in the oven for how long they say to do it. You use a screw driver to pry it open when the glue is hot and that is it. Mask the area's on the light that you don't want to paint and start sprayin. When you put them back together put them in the oven again to get the original glue warm again. Add a bead of silicone along with the original glue and put back together. Your done!!!

I've already done this twice. Me and my friend will do it for you in a couple of hours if you pay us a little money. You don't even have to do anything we'll do it all. Or I can just come up and help you out. Your call

Saturdays after 12 is usually good for me. Today is pretty booked though, maybe Sunday or next weekend? I haven't looked into this recently, but I've read directions several times before. I'm sure I can handle it.

I too, am interested. An install-fest/party sounds like fun, BUT there wont be enough room in the oven to more than two pairs at once (right?) so it would take a long time to do everyone... or WOULD IT?! Do anyone of you rich bastard types have expensive houses that come with built in microwave oven and like an island in the middle of the kitchen with a sink in it and a trash compactor and marble counters and a gold sink? Oh and two ovens! Cause all we really need are two (2) ovens.

My friends live in the house next door to me so basically I've got 2 ovens.

I am a rich bastard and have 2 ovens...but I dunno if we could do it here. My parents would probably **** a brick of a ton of people came over that they didn't know and weren't exactly my normal friends ages. Also I don't know where anybody would park, but if you guys need two ovens last resort maybe we could do something.

I want to get rid of that orange condom on the turn signal lights too but I'm not into the idea of baking it and open them up. But I've read many threads about just remove the signal light and cut the orange condom in many pieces. Is that a safer way? Also, is it illegal not have the amber light color?

you run into the risk of orange shreds getting into the corners of the headlight on the inside.. and those plastic are harder to cut than you think...

i use to have a BMW and like i had this set of tailights that had white/red.. but there was a orange condom inside... took so damn long to cut just a piece.....

I'm down to host this thing if we can figure out a day. I was planning on going to the Renick event this saturday and I'm thinkin I'm gonna install clear side markers at the same time, so I guess I better order those now.

If anyone wants clear sidemarkers, there's a groupbuy on them on www.groupbuycenter.com for $25 + $5 shipping.

Default Forget the groupbuy...

I just ordered clear sidemarkers from Revolution Motorsports (www.revolutionmotorsports.com) for $28 shipped.

The groupbuy people are morons, I cancelled my order after they asked me to paypal them to a different email than listed on the groupbuy page and include an extra $5 for shipping. This info wasn't listed on the groupbuy page and after pointing this out, they still asked me to jump through these hoops and didn't even change the page.

Subies - Clear turn signals are fine anywhere upfront. In the rear, they _must_ be either red or amber/yellow.

i did this cut up method. you need a lot of patience and skill with small parts. you need a pair of tin snips. dikes wont' cut it. you need to not scratch the reflective stuff. you need to not get orange chunks into your bulbs.

once the condom is out you can either buy amber 1157 bulbs, or buy the phillips silver vision bulbs for $22 a pair. they look silver but blink amber. do a search, there are links to the page somwhere here.
