Default Perrin vs Cobb vs TP 09+ wrx

Iv read many reviews comparing TP to Cobb and Cobb to Perrin AP tunes for stage 1 on an 09+
Seems TQ or Perrin the way to go

But Perrin vs TP reviews are far and few between. Any one have experiance with both?

Also curious to see any 3rd party dynos comparing any of the above. Perrin has theirs vs Cobb, but I have a hard time swallowing the Perrin nets 30 more tq and 700 rpm sooner to boot. This is done on a 08 per the website, but the basic message is there in any case.
Green = Perrin
Lt blue = Cobb
Dk blue = Stock

My experience...

Cobb - nice smooth acceleration and noticeable gains over stock
Perrin - punchier acceleration and feels faster than than Cobb
TP - best of both worlds, smooth and fast (this was my personal choice after trying all three)

The Torqued Performance map also supports 91 - 93 octane on one map. I had to test this when I went to Maine and could only find 91 with no ill effects.

I now have a 2011 and am running the TP Stage 2 map and loving it!

So my preference: TP > Perrin > Cobb > Stock

Does TP do STi OTS maps? I don't see them on their site but maybe someone here knows?

I have a Tp map for my stage 2+ AEM and its awesome. Definitely an improvement over the COBB Ots map.

I haven't tried the Perrin Stage 2 map but have tried their stage 1 map and thought it was good, my impression was it was a peaky map. Built power later in the RPM's but once it was building boost it was great. Definitely felt faster over the COBB ots Stage 1.
I just installed a down pipe a week ago and tried the Cobb stage 2 map just to get an idea of stage 1 to stage 2 power differences. I found the Cobb map much the same as their stage 1 much just on a bigger scale if that makes sense. Good overall I thought. I then switched to the TP stage 2 map.
I love the TP map, smooth, builds boost early like the Cobb map and the car feels like its continuing to build power right to red line. Like others have said the TP map is the best of both worlds between Perrin and Cobb, smooth consistent power from low rpms all the way to red line.

I would also like to add that there is exceptional service that comes with the TP maps. I got same day help from Eric when I was having an issue (wasn't even a map problem as it turned out, I had a hose leaking air when my boost pressure increased to 20psi). Eric still checked out my logs and gave me good advice where to look.

Since getting my Cobb Intake, Eric also sent me new maps to support this new setup free of charge (they were not available when I purchased my maps).

I cannot say enough about the performance of these OTS maps and the level of service that Eric provides.

We had 2 2011 WRX Limiteds on the Dyno this spring. Same day, same dyno, one right after the other. Both had a fan placed on the TMIC for all 3 pulls

WRX 1 - Invidia bellmouth downpipe (catted) / Q300 / PW TMIC / Cobb OTS 91 octane Map
WRX 2 - Perrin downpipe (catted)/Q300 / Stock TMIC / Perrin OTS 91 octane Map.

WRX 1 - 269 WHP/299 tq
WRX - 257 WHP/ 274 tq

I know there are other variables here (different downpipes, TMIC) but I don't see the Perrin map making that big of a difference here.

There was another 2011 with Perrin TMIC, Perrin Equal Length headers/ Perrin Uppipe, Perrin Pulleys, Perrin 50/50 BOV, Perrin Cat-Back running an OTS Perrin Stage 2 map (91 octane) and it made 300whp/310 tq.
