Default procarparts.com short throw for 2.5RS...

For ADD people: Good shifter if you want a shorter throw and stock height.

What? Non-Adjustable procarparts.com short throw for 1st gen Impreza

How much? $33.95 + s/h

Where can I get one? http://www.procarparts.com/store/dis...pid=SHS-97IMPZ

First impression: Simply made, straight unlike the stock one, hefty enough, didn't look shorter.

Install: Easy enough. Same as any other shifter with one exception, instead of the bushings it has small roller bearings.

Hows it work? Well it's shorter. It's notchy, but I like the feel. It slides into gear easily and doesn't grind anymore than stock did. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it was stock height still. It was kind of wierd I wasn't even sure if it was shorter at first.

Problems: It makes noise. Most importantly, it rattles, I assume due to the lack of bushings. Other than that it's a decent shifter.

In conclusion, it's no longer in my car. I put it in my friends Legacy. It was nice, but I wanted one shorter than stock physically too. I may get it back though because he is having problems with it (BARELY fits in his car).

One last comment, it came with a free week old Korea Times, TAKE THAT KARTBOY!!!!
