I use to have a WRX :(

Question How many of you guys had/have Miatas?

Just curious. My last toy was a 99 Miata and it seemed alot of the Miata guys were getting WRX`s.I can`t speak for them but for me the change was the best thing I`ve done! The Scooby is a far more versitle car and it has ALOT more power The Miata was kicka$$ in the corners but it`s horsepower sucked. And I wouldn`t even think about using it in the snow,

'95 Miata M-edition T3/T4 with 270 at the wheels.
The WRX is the stock (for now) daily driver.
Had to get in before this goes off-topic

SOLD!

I had a '95 that I sold for my REX!

I was planning on turbocharging it, but the wife and I are planning kids. So, after doing the math, it worked out that buying and modding the WRX would be more cost effective then doing all that I had planned for the miata + the cost of a car with a back seat.

The miata is an absolute blast to whip around town at lower speeds, but overall, I do enjoy the WRX more

True that! When I borrow my friend's miata I like tossing it around the corners. It is so nimble and fun to drive.

Default I don`t miss it...

I`m very happy with the choice I`ve made ,I think the best part is now I don`t have every duech bag on the road trying to kill me or race me.The only people who harrass me now are the Ricers

Default M Edition

The last plate on it read "on juice". Can you see the cables.

By the way, before I sold it I smoked a friends WRX to 140! He didn't even come close. Kinda miss it. But it had no room and 3 inches(actually measured) ground clearance.

When the Miata came out, I had to have it. My ole man had the Triump Spitfire when I was a kid and I thought: "This is what I want and it will stay out of the mechanics garage." Nothing is more fun then driving top down in cool weather. Got it September '89 and still runs like a champ.

When the WRX came out, I had the same enthusiasm! Now I have two toys for two different modes of fun! Still a kid at heart...

I thought you had to be going through a midlife crisis to own a Miata?
