Default JDM rear windshield quick question

Quick question for those that bought JDM rear windshield from Japan. How much did it cost for you guys to ship/insure it here and who did the install for you guys? Thinking of picking up rear glass as I found it for cheap but after adding the shipping, etc want to see if its worth it or not.

Wouldn't getting jdm glass make it "illegal" since it's not safety glass?

Not to mention why would you want the "jdm" rear windshield? Are there any gains of coolness to doing that? Just curious.

As stated above, any glass shop should be able to do the install. I installed the wiper bits myself, just because it was not a "normal" thing, and I had to figure out mounting the motor.

I would love the rear wiper, been pondering buying it myself once I have $1000 to blow on a piece of glass.

Yea wiper piece I think should be simple enough. You guys know if local places are insured? Probably have to call and ask. Would hate to spend all this money and then guy installing it cracks it.

Like other side rear glass is for wiper, could care less about glass itself.

Anybody ever ship one from Japan? Curious if its $5 to ship or $5000.

Wouldn't this be something that can be achieved with a glass drill bit?

I see people are filling the void when Vision and Loyale are not around.
