Default 04 WRX Brembo swap...Rear e brake wont work...

Hey guys well I have a 04 wrx, did a brembo swap front/rears, rotors, pads, and ss lines. Problems is now the rear emergency brake will not work.. i did everything right with the rear brake adapters and all and i used the DBA rotors that allowed the emergency brake to work. I did not change the emergency brake pads though, i left them alone. the only thing i can think of is maybe i needed to adjust them? and how do I? did I miss anything?

Easiest way is at the rear brake. There is a small slot on the rear of the backing plate at the bottom that has a rubber cap in it. Pop out the cap and you will see the fine adjustment wheel. Use a screwdriver to rotate the adjustment wheel and try to adjust the same amount on each side. You will have to experiment with which way to rotate the adjustment wheel, as I don't remember off the top of my head which direction expands the shoes and which direction contracts the shoes. Do a small amount and pull up on the parking brake lever to see if the brake catches. Repeat until the lever pulls up nicely.

If you can't get enough adjustment that way, you will have to adjust the cable at the lever.

Default Rear Brembo brke swap problem in a 04 WRX...

well today itried the adjustment screw to adjust the rear e brake drum thing.. It didnt work, seems like with the DBA rear roters i might need different bigger pads that will fit. i adjusted the rear rotor drum brakes to its max and there is still a huge gap between the drum pads and the drum.. any suggestions or have anyone used or done a rear brembo brake swap into a 04 wrx? I have the DBA slotted rear rotors with the adapters..my goal is to be able to use the emergency brake. thanks

which DBA rotors did you get exactly (P/N?)

is it possible they are the regular 190mm brake ones not the xx2657?

that sounds the most likely explanation

You either need the special DBA rotors made just for this swap.

Or special rear e-brake pads found here.
