Default Any Experience with Dr. Colorchip?

Hey everyone, I am still repairing the previous owner's mistakes and abuse. I have some serious paint missing from the previous owner's ground effects kit that I took off because it was cheap, unpainted and one of those kits that just stick on to the existing stock bumper. Because I have larger chunks of paint(i can provide pictures if later necessary), I didn't think regular touch up paint would work. Nor can I afford to repaint entirely, so I found drcolorchip.com and thought this variation of touch up paint would at least make my car not look so dinged up. I realize this isn't going to do a perfect job by any means, but just something to cover the black plastic underneath the paint. So before I just jump into this, I was wondering if anyone has used this product before, or would recommend something else instead.

Try a search, there's a lot of discussions on this topic.

Thanks for the link, my fault for not finding previous threads. I guess in the end, even for bigger areas, its worth 50 bucks because it can't get any worse. And it's a hell of a lot cheaper than sanding and repainting.

It's actually $59 for the largest kit. The one below that is $39... and shipping is a flat rate $9. It's pretty worth it and effective if you have road rash and a bunch of tiny nicks, just make sure you follow the instructions carefully. If you have big chips (larger than the size of a toothpick)... you are better off with the wet sanding/touch up paint method.

AND...You could fix the entire hood using about 1/2 oz. The $59 kit comes with 1 oz... so.. yeah.

I made the thread at 11am yesterday, you bumped that one at 9pm yesterday, regardless...

Thanks vin, I will have to take pictures to see if anyone is able to suggest a specific method. I'm driving home from Arkansas tomorrow so will be able to put up pictures in a couple days. I say this because road rash isn't really my problem, and thats what people seem to be using this product for. For me its the rubmarks from the previous owner's ground effects kit.
