Post Not a good showing for Prodrive in TN

Prodrive did not have ONE car that finished this past weekend, they had 3 running. Sheible's died due to transmission and Lovell's died due to a blown gasket. Didn't find out why Langemann didn't finish yet. The cars just couldn't handle the driving necessary to compete.

Although the Krowlikowski's '00 STI was bought from Prodrive, not sure if that counts. Hopefully Prodrive will pull themselves together so we can see some Scooby's on the podium next time. It was all Lancer Technology this time. 2 EVO's, and the Hyundai which is practically an EVO with a Tiburon shell.

Maybe next time.

From the results page and Jon Bogert's comments, it sounds like this was a brutal rally.

Well, after driving on one of the stages, not that I've seen many, it was bleeping brutal. It was outrageous. But that is why most of the cars were rolled, or wrapped around a tree, doesn't explain why the Prodrive Built cars couldn't handle the driving. I think they underestimated the situation.

I do have to hand it to Jon for finishing the rally. It was one tuff beeyotch.

Actually, Scheible went out when his head gasket blew at Service. Lovell went out with the trans. The customer car went out due to a blown turbo. By Saturday, they had gotten almost everything ready for Oregon since they had free use of the service bays at Kelly.

It was a brutal rally. Some classes didn't even have 3 finishers.

Hehe, that says something for Subaru build quality. I was driving pretty fast on the stage roads all weekend, trying to get to spectator areas before the spectators could, and all I ended up with was one more interior rattle from the rear!

Was definately a blast. Route 30 did rock, although my snow tires didn't like it much. We had a few close calls

We will be there in PA, we'll look you up before we go.

Also, getting to the last stage was great, we got to drive on one of the competitor stages. Bleeping outrageous.

Oh yes, TN 30 is an awesome road. The part from the Hiawassee down to US 64 has nice tight curves, and the part along the Hiawassee over to US 411 is just the most fun road ever. So many little side-to-side and up-down moves... That road is awesome.

PURE EPI, I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you. I was too busy working to find many other i-clubbers. The same goes for all you Bama folks, except for autorex who I tracked down at the awards banquet.

Thumbs up

TN 30 was definetly awesome...for a tarmac road this weekend confrimed my growing suspicion that pavement is for bleepers bring on the dirt! that road going to the last spectator stage was the best (no, we didn't go via the directions, we took the "scenic" route). i was really wishing for a front skidplate. those rocks just kept trying to eat my oilpan. i'll probably have to buy one from paul cause he was so cool. then again, so were the guys from rallyspec.

anyway, it was great meeting everybody and i had a blast and thanks for letting me crash in the hotel room

and as far as impreza reliability goes, i would love to have more break downs if any local dealerships were as cool as Kelly. my left rear wheel bearing gave out on the drive out wendesday night. by thursday night TN 30 among other roads had made it really bad so i took it in friday morning to get it serviced before the south-east club meeting there. they did it an hour quicker than my local dealership, had good magazines in the waiting room (R&T, Automobile, C&D, etc) and, instead of bitching about me off-roading as evidenced by my dirty undercarriage like my dealership, they told me that my car was pretty dirty (from going to the rally) so they WASHED it! they also gave us all shirts. they kick ass.
