So is anyone going? I'll be there Saturday and possibly Sunday, if I can get a ticket. I'm excited to see the Continental Sports Car Challenge run as I was only able to see them race the first year they had the event there. This will be my first year missing the DP/GT race, but I have a feeling after the 100-degree weather on Saturday I might not have enough in the tank for another scorcher on Sunday, too.

Feel free to say hi if you see me. I'll be parking my car in the infield.

The Continental Sports Car Challenge will be shown live on www.speed2.com
as well for those who can't make the race. You can also watch the other races this season "on demand".

I'll be there. I'll primarily be in and around Trade Manage, Nobel Racing, BGB Motorsports and Body Motion's trailers/tents in the paddock between races. If you see a guy with GT logo hat and shirt on that will be me. Please stop me and introduce yourself.

Regards,

Matt

Matt,

If Trade Manage is running the Camaro we have been working together with Steve to get that car up to speed in some certain areas....long story on what Riley Tech gives you vs what's competitive. We should be parked next door in order to help them out so feel free to come check out the cars. I drive the black/yellow #62.

(Maybe) See some of you tomorrow. Gonna be sweltering hot. I thought last year was hot, but Turner can probably cook a whole chicken in their M6 this year at these temps. I'll be rocking my green John Deere hat.

Right now, we're working with him on the Boxster. He runs our LSD in it, which is the only gearbox change the rules allow. But Steve's inquired about the potential for us to produce something for the Camaro going forward. It would be a major change of directions for us given our primary focus on Porsche and some Subaru stuff. Regardless, if I get a chance I'll pop my head in at Mitchum and say hello.

Regards,

Matt

Oh, and for anyone thinking about coming out, stay home. The heat is miserable. If we didn't have air conditioned trailers to hide in, we would have been in the hospital with heat stroke today. We might even abandon on Sunday and go watch the Rolex race on Speed at my parents' house up North in CT.

Heat Saturday wasn't too bad. Little breeze definitely helped. Talked with Brandon at TradeManage a little. I wished they were running the Camaro but he said they had rear diff. issues? Joey, sorry I missed you (were you next door to them?).

Sunday was better than Saturday as far as heat as it was overcast for most of the day. Track temp was about 125 before the race as verified by an infrared thermometer. The sound of the cars in the Rolex race never gets old. Got some video so I can listen to it over the next 364 days :-)

Oh, and free VIP parking and drinks from Subaru FTW!

Like about 1/4 of the field in the Conti series, they DNF'd. It was a freaking bare knuckle cage match out there on Saturday. The carnage was huge and the race finished up yellow after a 4 car pile up on the white flag lap. I think the coverage on Speed airs this coming weekend. I'll definitely be watching...

For some reason, if there is a fire in the pits, it is always near us. We were pitted next to Phoenix, and though I think it was a result of contact, it did enter the pits ablaze which was the eventual reason for the DNF.
